More Healing en Masse , April 14 2000

I preached last Wednesday (April 12) in a village not far from Bucharest and explained about the Kingdom of God. After praying for people there were healings. God also gave me porophetic words for two of the leaders which were in line with what Cornel who was with me also received for them. They were encouraged. We enjoyed a great time of fellowship afterwards.

Last Friday God gave me the opportunity to preach in two different churches. One in Bucharest, with a couple of hundred people present, and the other in a small town, Buftea, not far from Bucharest. In both places I preached from Matthew 17:14-21, on the subject of faith. This passage is the story about the epileptic boy whom the 9 disciples could not free. Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith, healed the boy, and explained to the disciples the problem was their littleness of faith, or their unbelief (see parallel passages in the other gospels). He told them they needed to pray and fast in order to be more effective.

When we fail to drive out demons and sicknesses, some incorrectly conclude that it was therefore not God's will for that person to be healed. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus took our infirmities and bore our diseases at the cross, so it is God's will for us to be healed (Is. 53:4,5). It is usually because of our littleness of faith that more does not happen. We don't expect much because of the presence of unbelief in our lives. If we believe and don't doubt we can speak to the mountain and it will move. Prayer and fasting can deliver us from unbelief. It is the presence of unbelief that disables the little faith we all have from going to work for good.

The Lord led me to firstly come against the spirits of unbelief in those who were willing to recognise it in their lives, confess it, and repent of it. Quite a number did in the first church. After that, I rebuked the demons of unbelief, and after that, in a separate prayer, the demons od infirmity binding the congregation. After asking people to try their bodies out, many testified to receiving healing. After that, the Lord gave me some words of knowledge and we prayed according to those. People were healed of tooth aches, headaches, backaches, diverse problems with legs, shoulders and more. A lady in the first church also believes she was healed of cancer. I was led to pray for people with diabetes - as yet we don't know the results of those prayers. Many testified to being delivered of a spirit of unbelief. Praise God.

In the second church they were having an all night prayer meeting. Many were present - more than 100 people were there easily, as three different churches combined to have this meeting. I was given the opportunity to preach from 11.15 to just before midnight. Proceeding in a similar way, many also received healing and publicly testified. This was a good witness for one pentecostal pastor who apparently didn't really believe in such things that much. I don't know that man or how he believes but God knows.

After that we all had a meal together and I went home with Cornel.

The next day, Saturday, we baptised a young man from the University. For about a week after that Friday night, I have struggled with weakness, tiredness and temptations to discouragement. It seems that Satan has tried to counter-attack.
