More Hilarious Miracle Action of God!

On Tuesday night (April 5) I got to preach in a Pentecostal church in
Bucharest on the subject of the Kingdom of God. The power of the Lord was
present to heal and save. Many people confessed the unforgiveness in their
hearts they had towards others, and repented. The altar was full of people
repenting of their sins. Some were coming to Jesus for the first time,
as I found out later. After this I publicly bound and rebuked the evil
spirits of infirmity on the people. Quite a few indicated that the pain
and affliction left at that time. A lot more would have been achieved had
there been more time, but I had to stop at 7.35 p.m. to make room for another
preacher from Chisinau in the Republic of Moldavia (former USSR). The pastor
described the meeting as a good beginning. We plan to continue these meetings,
using Argentinian evangelistic methods (which are nothing but applications
of the Scriptures anyway) to drive the devil out of that church and attract
those needing healing.
After the meeting I was called to talk with the elders of the church
and answer some controversial questions on issues which divide charismatics
and pentecostals in Romania. By God's grace it seems that some things were
cleared up.
On Wednesday night (April 6) my partner in ministry here, Cornel, took
my to a new gypsy church in the infamous Ferentari district of Bucharest.
A new church has just been opened by a gypsy pastor/evangelist in a dilapidated
old building which was formerly a theatre. This pastor has started many
churches around the country and has 15 children. He told me that he knows
me from a time I was preaching the gospel in Piata Unrii subway and laying
hands on the sick, several years ago. He wasn't sure if God would work
like that, so he decided to put me to the test. He told me and the people
that he had had a constant headache which especially troubled him when
he preached, but after I laid hands on him there he never had anymore trouble
with headaches. Praise the Lord. These days I'm meeting more and more people
who got healed in one of our impromptu street meetings back in the 1993-1996
period.
After some lively singing in Romanian and the international gypsy language
(Tiganeste), and some prayers, I got to preach under the light of some
sort of light globe connected to a car battery. The atmosphere was full
of joy. After preaching on the message and power of the Kingdom of God,
I invited people to give their lives to the Lord. A lady and her son responded.
Another lady had brought her who had given her life to the Lord the night
before at the Tuesday night meeting mentioned above.
I then began to lay hands on the people. Everyone testified that the
pain left. One very large man who had a severe problem with his walking
also began to walk normally and we saw that. Unfortunately because of the
pastor's doubt concerning the healing some measure of the healing was lost
but next time by God's grace we will straighten the matter out. A couple
of ladies are hopefully delivered from the demon of nicotine addiction,
which they wanted deliverance from.
A certain gypsy man turned up in the meeting who seemed vaguely familiar
to me, and he kept smiling at me. At the end of the meeting he got up and
said how 6 and a half years ago when I was preaching in Piata Rahova in
Bucharest my preaching really upset him, so he climbed onto the roof of
the building behind where I was preaching and poured a bucket of water
on my head. I remember the incident clearly. At the time it didn't stop
the move of God at all. Anyway, the wonderful thing was that a year or
more later this guy got saved and now here he is six years later telling
me how he was the one who poured water all over me in the midst of my altar
call. It was a blast. We all laughed.
Cornel then took me off to pray for this 5 year old girl with some kind
of problem growth between her stomach and duodenum. Cornel counselled the
mother in a very interesting and direct way. He first led her to give her
daughter to God and commit things to God. He then asked me to pray. We
saw the X-rays and the medical diagnoses from the doctors and she was scheduled
for a very expensive operation in a week or so. Cornel called upon me to
minister, and I asked the mother to put her hands on the stomach and back
of the child. I rebuked the disease and released the power of the Holy
Spirit into the child through the mothers hands.
What happened next was interesting. The mother, who wasn't a Christian
at that stage, told everyone she felt this strange power go through her
while I prayed. She got goose bumps all over her body. This obviously puzzled
her, but I explained to her that it was a manifestation of the power of
God. This sort of thing often happens to unbelievers when I pray for them
in Jesus' name with the laying on of hands. They are totally surprised
by the power of God which touches them.
We prayed for another lady with serious medical problems, who believed
she received. We will soon find out what happened for these people. The
non-Christian mother gave her life to Jesus that night and seemed a lot
happier. The way Cornel counselled her was very interesting. He had visions
about her and confronted her regarding certain incorrect attitudes in her
heart, which she confessed to.
We were accompanied by a couple from a local Baptist church. The lady
had been touched by the Lord in a number of interesting ways. Cornel feels
they won't last long in the Baptist church, due to its conservative nature.
All in all it was a very interesting evening's ministry.
The doors are now opening up in many places for evangelistic ministry
in Romania. Please pray for us.
