The Holy Spirit and Power

The Passage the Devil wanted out of your Bible

There are plenty of Bible-believing evangelicals and fundamentalists who say they believe the Word of God, but sadly you'll not find nearly as many who believe the words of Mark 16:15-20. Some people stop at verse 15 in their believing, some at verse 16 but if it really is the Word of God, God wants us to believe it all, right up to the end of verse 20. read more »

Casting Out Demons - Some Lessons from Mark 1:21-28

Jesus is our example. A big part of his ministry was in casting out demons. When the presence of the Lord is manifesting strongly enough, the demons in people start to stir up. Demons often have better knowledge and theology than those who are listening to the message, as we see from this passgae. read more »

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the present day operation of the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in 1 Cor 12. We also believe in the ministry gifts of Christ, as recorded in Eph 4:11-13.

Introduction
It is amazing how difficult some jobs are without the proper tools. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to cut a piece of timber if you didn't have a saw? Spiritual gifts are the tools that God has given us to enable us to be more effective in accomplishing the task of working with Him to build His church. read more »

Keys to Moving in the Supernatural of God

We are the Body of Christ

Our God is a living God, and He longs to get involved in people's lives. For some reason, God has chosen to use us, His people, to be the agents through whom He will reach out and touch the world. Everything was provided for us all to come back to God, overcome satanic oppression and enjoy God's favor - be it in forgiveness, healing, provision or relationships. But in the delivery of this blessing God is wanting us to have a role. In fact, we are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27) through whom God wants to reveal Himself. read more »

Spiritual Power - Getting the Right Stuff

Jesus said, "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and cast into the sea' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." (Mark 11:23). It is amazing to have the power to have "what you say" and this power is available to "whoever believes".

The operation of spiritual power requires faith. It may be faith in God, or faith in something else linked to the power of the devil, but faith is always involved. read more »

Testimony - Baptism in the Holy Spirit - Mike Jones

I am a analytical type person. Skeptical when it comes to things of faith (unfortunately). I was raised as a catholic (although we rarely attended church). I met my wife about five years ago (in April) and started going to her Pentecostal church. It was uncomfortable at first when they had altar calls (where they did call on us to pray for Jesus' intervention), because of the strange things that I observed. Mainly the crying and yelling perplexed me (such a deviation from my tranquil and ordered services of Catholic service). And the length! read more »

(1 Corinthians Chapter 12)

1. WE NEED TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS TRUE IN ALL RESPECTS.

(a) Quotation: "THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD. It is supernatural in origin, eternal in duration, inexpressible in value, infinite in scope, regenerative in power, infallible in authority, universal in interest, personal in application, inspired in totality. read more »

Speaking in Tongues through the Holy Spirit

What is Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in tongues, for the Christian, is a way of allowing the regenerated human spirit to pray to God or to praise God, or to speak a message from God, without the interference or limitations of the human mind. Speaking in tongues actually happens when a person allows syllables to flow out of their mouth without consciously controlling them. When a Christian is empowered by the Holy Spirit in this, it is a powerful spiritual practice. read more »
