How, then, can they call on the one they have nol believed in? And how can they believe in tin- one of whom they have not heard? And how can (hey hear without someone preaching to them'.' How to Reach as Many people for God as you want

This post is for you if you believe that "the gospel is the power of God for salvation of everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16) and that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God" (Romans 10:17).

If you are one of the people who has bought into the idea that if you just give "tithes and offerings" to your favorite mega-church and your favorite prosperity preacher you will surely get rich, I need to warn you, on the authority of God's Word, that you are promised POVERTY and NOT riches by the Word of God. That's right - he who gives to the rich, WILL SURELY COME TO POVERTY. read more »

My original views on tithing

Author's note: What follows below is what I wrote about tithing in 1996 while I was a missionary in Romania. I am now in the process of calling into question this traditional teaching, not because I think it is a bad thing to tithe, but because I believe that some of it could be based on bad exegesis of Scripture from a New Covenant perspective. I have to say that something is wrong if we don't feel the Lord's leading to do at least as much as the Old Testament believers were to do, because we have received so much more grace. read more »
