Characteristics in A House Church Movement for Australia I'd Like to See

I am pondering again the whole issue of house churches. Having participated in some of the best "megachurches" or "wannabe-megachurches" in the country, often led by some really great leaders, where the Holy Spirit IS definitely working, my heart still hungers for "something more". And it could never be what I have seen over the years in Australia amongst people who want to "be the church" and not "go to church". It can't just be a refuge for people hurt by ambitious leaders - people who want to do what is mostly comfortable and easy in the name of being "led by the Holy Spirit". read more »

New House Church in Brisbane, Australia

I believe God has led my family and I together with another Christian family to begin a house church in Brisbane, Australia. There is a growing trend towards hosting the meetings of the Body of Christ in private homes. This is the way Christianity first spread, and it will be way in the End Times Church also. read more »

Churches using Carnal Means to Attract and Retain Carnal People while True Sheep Starve

Paul Washer tells it like it is in this short clip. He is saying that there are true sheep of God in most large churches but in order to please the large unconverted crowd in the church, the pastors will not give true sheep what they need. Instead they feed the goats what pleases them.

God's Commission to Pastors

As we get into "God's Commission to Pastors" we are going to examine it through the passages in Ezekiel 34. First let's define our terms.

Planted in the House of God - by Evangelist P.S. Rambabu

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, A they will grow like cedars of Lebanon; planted in the house of the lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him." Psalms 92:12-15.

These verses from Psalm 92 declare that we are, in fact, planted in God's house. The call and purpose of a Christian is first and foremost to glorify God, and that should be the primary desire on which all our other desires are based. read more »

Church Politics

By Church politics I mean the way church leaders relate to one another and to others in exercising authority and determining the way things will be done in church life. The term "church politics" often has a negative connotation - however I am using the term in a broader sense. The policies and ways of church leadership may be godly or they may be ungodly. The way leadership is exercised is tremendously important to the Lord, so for this reason I believe it is worth writing about this and opening up the subject. read more »
