Impact your generation

Today I got to meet with two young leaders of two leading churches of my city. During our time of fellowship, one thing that stood out the most was the lack of fathers in our generation.

Seems like we lack leaders who are secure in God.

What every pastor must realize is that God has not just anointed them to equip the church but also to equip and release them into their destiny.

HELP!!! Bible Question. Women in Ministry

I was reading my bible, trying to find a verse when I came across the passage in 1 Timothy 2:8-15

 I want men everywhere
to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.

I also want women to dress
modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or
pearls or expensive clothes, but
with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

to Bounce Back from Loss of Ministry

lion in a pit on a snowy day

I’m at the end of myself….

I’m at a complete end…I’m not sure where to go with this. This is probably gossip, but I have no choice, I need help.

I work at a Christian camp focused primarily on inner city youth from a local city. Every summer we bring around 200 kids to enjoy a free week of camp in which we present the Gospel to them and try to establish relationships with them. This fall we’re starting a discipleship program that is the reason for my being on staff. This is mainly an attempt to take the relationship even further and sort of ensure that they begin to grow in Christ.

How to Bounce Back from Losing your Ministry – Chapter 2 – Be Productive

to Bounce Back from Losing Your Ministry

I used to go to a budding Christian church with Edwin, Willie, Eric, Gerry, Audie, and Nandy. We were young and eagerly training to serve the Lord through various church ministries. There were only about less than a hundred of us believers in that church.

The Characteristics of a Servant Leader

Servant leaders take on leadership roles because they are convinced it is the best way for them to serve. If another person is better for the leadership role they will not desire to take the position. They are interested in taking on whatever role is most helpful. They are servants first and leaders second.

The Heart and Motivation of a Servant Leader

We can learn many techniques of leadership. We can learn ways to influence people in order to obtain a desired result.

But the basic question that should be asked is – why? Why do it?

If the desired end result is totally selfish – so that we can fulfil our material and ego needs – then our leadership will fall well short of the will of God.

The Mechanics of Leadership

Before you can lead people, you need to obtain the consent of the people who are to be led. People might follow you for any number of reasons – they could be assigned by someone else to work under your leadership, they might have decided that they want to be with you because they are attracted to you personally, or they may have bought into your vision.
