Is a Burden Coming to Damascus?

By Jack Kinsella

Isaiah 17:1 – “The burden of Damascus: Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”

Benhadad is actually two Hebrew words: “ben-Hadad”. Strong’s Hebrew Bible Concordance tells us this word means: “son of [the false god] Hadad”.

This is important because the first mention of Syria in the Bible is in Judges 10:6 and it is all about the false gods of Syria. Take notice, ben-Hadad is the standing title of all the Syrian kings that passed their government authority from father to son, it’s meaning “the son of Hadad” gives us the clue that we need to understand history if we are to understand the times and what lies ahead.

Chuck states there is a specific judgement of God that is poured out on nations that fail to acknowledge him as “Creator”. Chuck goes on to show where this revelation came from. He specifically points to it in Rom 1:18-32.

Iran wants a peace of the Great Satan.

The motivation for the foiled Iranian-instigated plot to murder the Saudi ambassador to Washington at his favorite eatery, Café Milano in Georgetown, is revealed by debkafile’s Iranian sources as a bid by a super-radical faction at the top of the Iranian regime to draw the United States into a limited military clash. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei approved the plot when his son and heir Mojtaba, 42, and the Al Qods Brigades commander Gen. Qassem Soleimanipresented him with their “grand plan.”

Islam is a Religion of Peace?

Iran is drawing widespread criticism over reports that an Iranian pastor faces execution for refusing to recant his Christian faith and return to Islam.

“I urge Iran’s leaders to abandon this dark path, spare Yusef Nadarkhani’s life, and grant him a full and unconditional release,” said Boehner, an Ohio Republican.

“Religious freedom is a universal human right,” Boehner said. He said that the prospects that Nadarkhani could be executed “unless he disavows his Christian faith are distressing for people of every country and creed.
