Tongues Only God Understands!

John MacArthur is in serious error concerning Tongues. As far as the persons who have had the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and received the evidence of speaking in tongues are concerned they need to take courage in situations where such errors are sent like arrows from the Pharisee bow. Jesus when casting out devils was accused of being the chief devil. Then He taught about those who blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. Those Pharisees were aware of the Holy Spirit and the power of God upon Christ and yet they said He had a devil. They were charging that His inspiration whom we know to be the Holy Spirit that it was a devil. That is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Jesus continued to teachMar 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: Mar 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: Mar 3:30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. The poisonous darts of the Pharisees will not cause those of the Spirit to waver.

    I DON’T UNDERSTAND

      Hi Carolyn,
      This video is an answer to those who say speaking in tongues that are not understood by the speaker is from the devil.  Clearly a very dangerous standpoint.  Speaking in Tongues is a gift, a worship and Prayer gift that comes from the Holy Spirit.  You can read Acts 2, Acts 10, and Acts 19,  All received the gift of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.  The Scripture teaches that the gift should not be abused in the public assembly.  There should be explanation about the gift and the practice for people that don't understand.  I remember when I first went to a Church where the singing in tongues was like being in heaven.  I had just escaped the life of drugs and had been born of the Holy Spirit and then I came into the Church and they were singing in tongues.  So the benefit was that I had it explained to me and they prayed for me and I duly received the same magnificent gift.  People who say it should be forbidden must remember that in each case their were many many people in public places that would receive the gift of speaking in tongues.  It was happening in Samaria Acts 8.  Pentecost when multitudes were being converted baptized and receiving the Promise of The Holy Spirit.  What Paul was enforcing was the use in the public assembly without education of those coming in would cause people to mock.  There are some Charismatics that are going into weird excesses that would be shunned and the Apostle would have done the same to those people as he is doing to the Corinthians.  The Gift is from God and should be encouraged.  The Scripture says in Luke;
      Luk 11:9  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
      Luk 11:10  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
      Luk 11:11  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
      Luk 11:12  Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
      Luk 11:13  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
      God will not give His children anything evil.  God gives them the beautiful gift and in every record of it in the book of Acts it is followed by the receivers speaking in tongues and prophesying.
