John Macarthur convinces many people, including possibly himself, that he is a true teacher of the Word of God. However, his attitude towards the things of the Holy Spirit show that he is not listening to God very well. He has to add his own presuppositions to the Bible in order to twist it to make a describe a God who only talks through the Bible.
He ignores specific facts about the Corinthian church that Paul complements them for in the beginning of the first letter to Corinthians. He has to do this, in order to support his false doctrines concerning tongues and other spiritual matters.
