The Testimony of how God picked me up out of the gutter I was living in

Hello All,

I wanted to share my short testimony and it goes like this: I was a sinner. I did sinful things, did not know Christ, was living like I was Satan’s brother, and one day I was sitting in Church and saw that I needed a Savior, I needed Christ. I then (at age 12) trusted in Christ.

Like all child convertees I then grew up, and turned into Captain Backslider. Years went down the road and once again I was living spiritually in a gutter. Once again Christ extended his hand and pulled me out of the gutter, this time giving me a mission in life that I have set my whole heart into and that is spreading the Gospel of my King, on my website.

Come by an fellowship sometime as I am always home.

  1. BeReady says:

Good testimony Joshua! I am so proud of you for dedicating your life to Jesus and to getting people saved! I ask you now, what Paul asked Believers he met in Acts 19:2: “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” If not ask Jesus to baptise you in the Holy Ghost and believe (whilst asking) that He will. The initial evidence of having received is that you will begin to speak to God in another language/s which you never learned (like all through the Book of Acts.)
This is the sign God gives, and only by being then keeping filled with His Spirit can we serve God effectively. He loves you and so do I.

  2. alethesia dipsos says:

Why? Why All the discord? Let’s “encourage one another daily as long as it is called today, so that none of you (us) may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness”
    Joshua,
Thank you for sharing your testimony, it is always refreshing to see how God is working in the lives of his children!

  3. Timothy Luke says:

Hey Joshua, Keep in the Word and in prayer that those who come to your site will be blessed and strengthened in the Lord. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Who is Joshua Kent?

Is this story just a “if you want better come to my site”?

    Another thing:

    Sight – visual perception
    Site – a place, a location

Internet speak is only “site” e.g. “have you seen my web site” “did you go to the school’s site” “I just left my work site”.

    • Timothy Luke says:

You have a way of dissing people. Who is Redbuck? You don't even use your own real name and you call out someone who does by asking 'who are they?' In the Bible I recall a man who asked, "who is this 'David'" and he was known as a fool.

The "Another thing" is just a lead up to another diss.

Please take the time to live out love while responding to people on this and other sites.

1Cor. 13:3-7  "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

      • You must have hated your english teacher at school who “tried” to teach you spelling, gramma and syntax.

If you took offence I feel sorry for you.

You haven’t even answered the question “Who is Joshua Kent” but have decided to attack me instead. Bravo!

      • As a speaker of English I try to use both grammar, spelling and syntax to help people understand what I am trying to say. But to those who do not understand I give my apologies. My question was a question, pure and simple.

I do not give my name except for purposes of introduction, do you want it? Nor do I point people to a website of my own because I don’t like drawing attention to myself. All attention should be on God’s word and on God.

But just because I don’t use my name am I to be considered a fool? Or that I ask a question? Or that I teach the proper way of using English?

The scripture clearly teach that if you call someone a fool you are in danger of Hell. By implication this is what you are calling me, and yet you call me disruptive!

    • We are all christians and we are all learning but some times people take offence for no reason,so just share your thoughts and just continue to keep growing because we are all learning and growing,so just share your thoughts and if some one doesnt like what you write they can just ignore it because none of us are above another.Michael built this sight for people to grow, learn and help one another by the way I see it.Some people feel their above others which is pride because love isnt rude and sometimes people can give lots of scriptures but they need to learn that some times God isnt giving us scriptures for others but for ourselves to apply in our own lives. So every one be blessed and keep walking in humilty and love.

  5. I went to your web sight and it was ok but it is like this web sight so I know I wont be back because this web sight means allot to me.See if you were to go to my web sight, you would see my web sight has nothing really in commen with this web sight. But I did that on purpose because most people who go to my web sight are either lost,or hate God or are not saved.so check it  out  http://www.exposingthedarkness.com/index.htm  have a blessed day Tim
