The Anointing of Jehu – Some Lessons about the Prophetic Ministry

When Elisha sent a young apprentice prophet to anoint Jehu, its interesting to see the power of a GENUINE word from God. Its interesting to see how prophecy flows once you step out in obedience to the Lord. Its also interesting to see how the words themselves – even the word repeated by Jehu – can have an immediate and dramatic effect.

I am encouraged about the power of genuine words from God. We need to stay away from the realms of faking it so that the pure words can come and mighty things can happen for the glory of God.
