Promises of God about Prayer

This is what my Faithful Lord who cannot lie has declared to me!

If you abide in Me, and my Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7)

Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:24)

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. (Matthew 21:22)

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (John 14:13,14)

Again I say to you that if two of you agree concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19)

Ask, and it will be given unto you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened unto you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Matt. 7:7,8)

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them. I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. (Luke 18:7,8)

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14,15)

  1. I’m a born again Christian
I love God with all of my heart, his been faithful and just to me always. recently I meet with this guy I meet with him on my way from home to work, I gave him my e-mail he e-mailed me back and we started dating then I was under a lot of stress I need somebody who could tell me how much I’m loved, cause it work things were not good. I’m not that educated but God wants me in account the thing is I like faithfulness I always find a way to steel I did that we my three jobs.

I use to drink stay out all night and smoke, this guy wasn’t drinking or doing those things are was doing, I would go with my other boyfriends to pubs and came late I would go to my home I will go to him. That became a habit. I lost my job and he is still here he made me to stop all the things I was doing and I’m going to church again the relationship is good for me, the thing is we had sex, now we are not doing it anymore we are waiting for marriage. Will God bless our marriage, and will he forgive me for all the bad things are did while I was a Christian

    • Have you repented? If you have than yes. As far as the relationship, you need to plan things to do before you get to that point. Always plan things that occupy your time. Go for nice long walks, Go help the Needy, do things that bring you closer to God. Keep yourselves busy & your minds on what you can do for the Lord. That is where you need to Look. We are doing our best to die to ourselves and to live big in Jesus. Your flesh took over the situation but repentance is still the thing to do. Do Not let the Devil tell you that now you are going to Hell because you fell. Get back up and tell the devil that he is destined for the LAke of fire. So Go boldly unto the throne of God & ask for him to keep you on the right path. And learn the tricks of the devil. For he uses them on us again and again. Resist the Devil & he will Flee. This also is what the one you want to wed should do as well. Be strong in his might & blessed in his peace that surpasses all understanding. Love your sis in Christ Jesus, Annette

    • Timothy Luke says:

"If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness."

You have confessed your sins to all here in a very straightforward way and have not made excuses or covered your sin. God has honored your request, and your sins have been forgiven. The devil will test you and tempt you to think God has not or will never forgive you….  It is so funny how the devil tells you how wonderful the sin is before you do it, and then tells you how bad and unforgiveable it is afterwards! Christians still sin, just less every day, or week, or year…. You are a work in progress. May the Lord bless your marriage to this man and make you both wonderful servants of the other!  Tim

Timothy Luke wrote: >>Christians still sin, just less every day, or week, or year….< < John 8:34 – Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

        • Holyroller_11 says:

you are right,he who sin is of the devil, because he sinneth from the beginning

          • Holyroller_11 says:

I was trying to stay out of this, but I’m sorry to have to strongly disagree with this sin a little everyday, THIS IS A LIE straight out of satan’s mouth. IF YOUR God is so weak he cannot keep HIS people from sinning, then someone is serving the WRONG GOD, this teaching is not only against the bible, its also very dangerous to teach anyone such. and is against the whole gospel of Christ,Paul and God’s church from the beginning of church. If someone is seeking God to heal them from sin,how are they sinning evveryday.impossible to sin while seeking God.after God heals or sanctifies, the ablity to walk away is made easy. People will answer to God for what is taught in the name of Jesus

          • Timothy Luke says:

Where do you think lies come from, if Satan is the father of them?

Joe, my God is so weak that he let the whole human race sin. He is so weak that he let Peter sin by denying him three times. You are sinning right now by denying sin in a Christian's life.

1Jn 1:8-10  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

You say you are sanctified and have no sin? The truth is not in you, for John was writing to the church, not the world. Then what are YOU preaching about? And, in whose name are you preaching it? And how accountable will you be?

God is a God of relationship. "God is love," is how the Bible simplifies it. God engages our hearts and will not force our bodies and minds to conform to His commandments. ie, Peter… Jesus could have sent him back to Galilee so he would not have opportunity to deny him, yet he needed Peter to hear what came out of his mouth and hence heart, and through that sin, Peter was able to come to true repentance.
God is not intimidated by sin. He is everywhere, so he sees all of it, every minute, every day. Yet, He works with us in our imperfection to bring us to perfection. Hebrews says, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection.” Again, this is to the church. Again, they have not attained perfection. Again, there is a process.
Are you saying that Peter did not sin when he withdrew from the gentiles and Paul rebuked him openly?

Satan is the god of manipulation. He operates by motivating us in fear. He doesn't care if we love him or not, just so long as we do what he wants us to do.

While I appreciate zeal, I appreciate zeal according to knowledge more.

you are not only fooling yourself but taking many others with you,I thought better of this, but we will never be on the same side on this issue,be in God’s service, and seen to much to ever go along with this I can fill this page with scripture saying we can be perfect in God’s eyes, and live a SINLESS life with Christ

          • Holyroller_11 says:

James 4;17 ,john 8;34 col 2;21 ,1st john 3;8 1stjohn 3;9 Who so ever is born of God doeth not commit sin,for his seed remaineth in him and he CANNOT sin, because he is BORN of God. 1st john 3;6 whosoever sinneth hast not seen him ,NEITHER KNOWN HIM. eph 4;24 ,2nd cor 5;17 this is only the beginning, this is bible either it is right or it is wrong ,no middle

          • Timothy Luke says:

I quoted Bible also. No middle. The fact is we need to reconcile these verses that you have quoted with the ones I have quoted… for all of them are true. The question is, how do we reconcile them? You and I do not see eye to eye on that. I have no small experience in ministry as well, and I see sinning saints all the time… even the sweet looking ones, if they harbor anger, rage, resentment, are in sin… I help them to overcome it. I do not sense that they were not believers before, but now are afterward. You see it otherwise.

          • Holyroller_11 says:

sinners OR saints, either or no middle

          • Holyroller_11 says:

when sin is repeated over and over, then if one doesn’t seek sanctification by the blood, then they very quickly become what they were ,A SINNER, if a sincere heart then quickly they will be cleansed and no more sin by bondage,so there sin is by CHOICE,then they be sinners again and no longer saints,so they return to the pigpen, and will burn,1 or the other, saint or sinner,no middle, either cold or hot. cold will burn, middle(luke warm) will burn, hot will not sin,and will not burn, period wide is the road to destruction, narrow is the road and FEW will enter therein,to allow excuses is to indanger many plus ourselves just because some one says Jesus forgive me,does not automaticlly save him,the thief was sorry he got caught but was not sorry for the crime, forgiveness is a sincere heart, regardless of what someone claims or says, and a broken spirit can find forgiveness and a cure for their sinning, but Jesus has to accept the sinner based on his intent of the heart. professors and posessers are not the same, the tares and the wheat grow together, both are professors, but 1 will be taken the other 1 left, line them up to the book and you will see the difference.faith without works is dead, therefore,so is so called sinning christians, there are none, period this is the 2 edged sword,

          • Holyroller_11 says:

the 10 commandments and to love the Lord thy God,and thy neighbor as thy self ,these are sins of death, to be angry, sad, mad and emotions can LEAD to sin,but of itself is not, only can be used for sin or excuse to sin,but with Chirst living inside, these things are or can be controled to the point of no sin, without Christ then sin rules

          • Timothy Luke says:

He who hates his brother in his heart has committed murder already. He who looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. God looks not at the outward appearance, as done a man, but looks upon the heart.  God is spirit. and He desires those who worship Him to worship in SPIRIT and in TRUTH, not fantasies.

Now we are getting somewhere… You say Christians do not go around in a lifestyle of sin… I agree. However, sin is MORE than a lifestyle and more than the outward expression. It is a state of our hearts, and left untended, the heart brings forth the acts of sin. So it is that I say Christians have sin, and you say they cannot sin.

We are not to "control" these emotions, we are to eliminate them and cleanse our hearts. This is what I see that takes time. We learn and grow to see these things operating on a deeper level than when we first believed.

          • Holyroller_11 says:

you say we sanctify ourselves with time, well your right,AFTER we have been cleaned by the Spirit, this is our difference, and dependant which way you choose will justify either way. but I and the whole latter rain pentecostal movement, taught and some still do, an instant work by the HolyGhost to remove the sin nature so we can choose to serve God or sin, you may call this casting out a spirit,at least this would make sense why we con flick. you mention hate, and emotion, well first you can’t destroy emotion, lest you die, plus anger is not sin,Jesus was angry and through out the money changers,so anger is not sin.hate is not sin,Jesus hates sin. so 1 has to be careful to know what is sin of find themselves bound by their own cords, It is very easy to make the walk harder than it is also, making our own stumbling blocks out of nothing. I know someone who liked coffee, because someone said it was sin, they put it away, now to pick it up again would cause them problems, although in general there is no problem, yet they made their own road harder for no reason.

          • Timothy Luke says:

You are right that anger is not sin. It is a God-given emotion… However…

"Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil." Eph 4:26-27

This sentence shows us that while anger is not sin, there is a measure of time to examine the situation and sanctify it through forgiveness of the offender. If we do not take that anger and put on the mind of Christ, the enemy will encamp there and a stronghold will be born.

My wife was abused. She came to the Lord and committed her ways to Him as a teenager…. yet, she did not deal with the anger stemming from the abuse until a year before she was healed of the wreckage that stemmed from that abuse. She was a Christian with unreconciled anger and bitterness until the day the Lord lead her to see it and she obediently repented and forgave… Then that cloud of anger lifted and her heart was clean. Prior to that, she was walking around trying not to give vent to that anger, and doing very well in that regard.

God's best was not that she simply did not act it out, or say the wrong thing. God's best was that her heart was cleansed and there was nothing hurtful in it to keep from saying, "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

When she obeyed the leading of the Lord, the anger lifted off her like a cloud. She was free! That had never happened to us before. We had a PentaBaptist preacher anoint her with oil that afternoon, because we needed a prayer of faith and our lovely pastor simply did not have it for us.

The Ephesians model shows me that our emotions are not sin, but they give opportunity for the devil to set up a camp full of sin. The emotions are to our heart, what pain is to our brain…. It is a signal that something is amiss. If I have no feeling of pain, it is dangerous to my health. I can burn a hand severely and not know it is happening until I smell cooked flesh. By then, I have seriously injured myself. Pain enables me to jump back and say, "what did that?" I evaluate, and then I remove myself from the source if it is injurious, or I do not exert myself past the breaking point the pain is warning me of… in my back, for instance.

Anger is emotional pain that is there to tell me 'something is not right.' With that alert, I am to see what is not right, and then remedy it. Often it says, 'you are being sinned against.'  This is good, because I need to remove myself from the situation or person where I am being spiritually violated. In Jesus' case, He was called to endure it, so He could not avoid the crucifixion, but he did need to offer forgiveness. Some things we are to endure (longsuffering for the gospel's sake) and the call is to forgive. If we do not recognize the offense, let it continue and stew over it in our overlooking of what the anger is there to point us to, then the enemy begins to build his camp in our midst. Anger demands we call time out, assess the situation and come to a Godly response, in a 24 hour perion, lest the enemy make more of it, than it truly is.

It is not just anger. Take any emotion and put it in the Ephesians equation. Fear. If we fear something, we need to assess and deal with it, or the enemy will build a phobia.

          • bornagainbytheblood says:

Something must be conceived in the heart before it becomes sin; therefore, mere thoughts are not sin so long as they don’t fester and take root in the heart.

James 1:14-15 – But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

          • Timothy Luke says:

Right. You will note that I have laid out a scenario whereby we are to take our thoughts captive once we sense the emotions, or fantasies, or whatever roaming in our 'hood'. The initial phase is not sin, it is an invitation to come into agreement with the thoughts behind the feelings and walk in sin, or forsake it.

          • bornagainbytheblood says:

OK. So why did you say “Christians still sin, just less every day, or week, or year….” ? Sin equals death, period.

            Romans 6
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

          • Timothy Luke says:

I understand these things and will reply in the Sin and Saints blog. In short, we all fall short, even as Christians. Are you perfect? Why does Hebrews exhort us to 'going on to perfection' if we are already instantly there?

          • Holyroller_11 says:

It take a few words to go from sinner to saint, perfection, to walk in the Spirit ,one must seek the WHOLE ARMOR of God to stay perfect.no man will ever be perfect to flesh and blood, saint or sinner, man’s nature is to find fault somewhere. Abraham was perfect to God,Job was perfect to God.but not to those a round them ,man loves to find fault and accuse, God is able to make us perfect and keep us perfect until the day we stand in his presents, in my best day,I will never be perfect in man’s eyes nor in my own. but God says to him,I can stand blamless, thats good enough for me.

          • lookinforacity says:

            Hi TIM

I feel as though I can reconcile both of your viewpoints.
In reading your post, I see what you are saying about your wife’s experience is true.
I also see what Joseph is saying is true.
Therefore look at this as the possible solution.

In speaking of your Pastor you say.
“because we needed a prayer of faith and our lovely pastor simply did not have it for us.

You have subsequently left the Denomination to which you and your wife belonged for years.

If you had a pastor who was unable to Minister to you because of his unbelief, how many other things do you think you were possably mis-taught by the Doctrines of that Denomination, because of that same unbelief.

The example would be, your wife.
            1) “She came to the Lord and committed her ways to Him as a teenager”
            2) “yet, she did not deal with the anger stemming from the abuse”
            3) “She was a Christian with unreconciled anger and bitterness until the day the Lord lead her to see it and she obediently repented and forgave”

When your wife came to the Lord, she was not Ministered to the way she was prior to her healing.
This I believe, is what Joseph has been saying all along, “Tarrying at the Alter until you get an answer.”

So we have two differing viewpoints of the Question, (Sin in the life of the Believer)?
You Tim believe in strongholds being set up, while Joseph believes in taking care of any and all problems at the beginning of the walk.
You believe the vessel cannot be fully cleaned upon conversion and a continual ongoing Progressive Sanctification takes place.
Joseph believes, we are Sanctified upon conversion, that Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and that we receive Perfection in the sight of God by the blood of Jesus Christ which covers all sin.

Just listen to yourself, as you explain to Joseph.

My wife was abused. (SHE CAME TO THE LORD AND COMMITTED HER WAYS TO HIM AS A TEENANGER)…. (YET SHE DID NOT DEAL WITH THE ANGER) stemming from the abuse (UNTIL A YEAR BEFORE SHE WAS HEALED) of the wreckage that stemmed from that abuse. (SHE) was a Christian (WITH UNRECONCILED ANGER) and bitterness (UNTIL THE LORD LEAD HER TO SEE IT) and (SHE OBEDIENTLY REPENTED) and forgave… Then that cloud of (ANGER LIFTED AND HER HEART WAS CLEAN). Prior to that, she was walking around trying not to give vent to that anger, and doing very well in that regard.
God’s best was not that she simply did not act it out, or say the wrong thing. (GODS’ BEST, WAS THAT HER HEART WAS CLEANSED) (AND THERE WAS NOTHING HURTFULL IN IT) to keep from saying, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
(WHEN SHE OBEYED THE LEADING OF THE LORD, THE ANGER LIFTED) off her like a cloud (SHE WAS FREE!) (THAT HAD NEVER HAPPENED TO US BEFORE).

Tim, everything you have given an account of, sounds like what would normally be called a SALVATION EXPERIANCE, you say her heart was cleansed, she was free, that had never happened before.

That is the whole point, people all the time, every day come to the Lord, they go through all of the motions but in their hearts, (And as we know God judges the heart) they harbor sin.
When this happens, and a person has not truly Repented, because of this harboring of sin, can we believe they have received the New Birth, (Salvation).
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying she was a bad person, she was deceived, believing she had received something that she really didn’t receive at all, until she was led of the Lord to Repent of the sin.
I am only saying, as you have said yourself, you had to leave your own Denomination, because where you were, was inadequate, and seek her healing elsewhere.

You choose to look at your past situation as a Deliverance from Strongholds, where I chose to look at it as a Salvation.

There are thousands and millions of people in this world, in exactly the same situation as you and your wife were, in regard to unrepentant sin in their lives, the Churches they went to were inadequate to Minister to their needs, so yes, you see a lot of sin in the Church, but these things ought not to be so.
Therefore we see a lot of Deliverance Ministers in the Church today also, Ministering Deliverance almost exclusively to Christians.
This is why, we hear the cry Easy Believe-ism, where people recite a few sentences and believe they are now Saved, no emphasis put on repentance.
Churches doing nothing more than building their attendance rolls.

We need Churches that don’t just go through the motions of bringing a person to birth in the Kingdom,
by Ritual and Tradition, but truly take an interest, (No, The Responsability) the same as the Church that finally Ministered to your wife.
A Church that will take the time with new believers, from the beginning teaching them what it means to be Born Again, what Joseph calls praying at the Alter until the answer is received.
This is what Paul and the other Apostles did, they didn’t just “get em saved” they labored over them, in prayer until they were secure in the faith to begin with, not waiting for years for sin to be dealt with.

            Gal 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

We do not have “ONE” account of a Believer having Deliverance administered to him, shouldn’t that absence tell us something?
We do not have “ANY” teaching by any Apostle, on the subject of Deliverance of the Believer, describing the process that should be used.

In closing, all I’m saying is, take the time to walk around this mountain, look at it from every different perspective you can think of.

            Be Blessed
            JIM

          • Timothy Luke says:

Let's see how tight these threads can go!

Thanks for your efforts to reconcile our opinions and break it down. We all need to 'walk around the mountain" and look at this topic. For one, there are things I am stating that have a broader context than I can state without writing a textbook on the subject and losing the object of what I am trying to convey. Its like saying, "Just flip the switch" to someone in the dark, and then having to go off in conversation with the gallery on explaining how electricity works, and where it comes from instead, and being shown as inept because the whole of the subject is not understood by all.

I was writing to encourage a saint that she is not lost and that sin pops up all the time, in various forms in all saints, and not to get plowed over with guilt and condemnation and believe the lie that she is cut off from access to God's grace.  I was truly proud of her for putting the sins (major ones) in the past. This shows me she is overcoming.

I get hauled off into a larger discussion that questions the validity of my words not only to her, but others on this site. It undermines my ministry to others by confusing the issue.

For the record. I am not seeking to reconcile myself to Joe's position. I am seeking to reconcile myself to God's position. Joe and I are reconciled as brothers, though we disagree. I have had theologies hastily ascribed to me that I do not adhere to and am not promoting. In pointing these things out, I am not thrilled with the timing of them, as people seeking to 'help' me are unwittingly causing confusion for others who need what I have to offer.

Perhaps this discussion should have taken place under "Sins and Sinners" and begin at the beginning with "what is sin"? I have set myself from the age of 7 to serve the Lord and I have known His Word and studied it and left my mother whom I dearly love, at age of 9 in pursuit of the Lord. Maybe there are things others can learn from me? NAHHH!

Let's all walk around the mountain prayerfully, ok?

          • Holyroller_11 says:

God does no sin,yet he HATES sin, God also loves, can be grieved, feel pain and sorry, regret, and Anger, but all in pureness. people confuse emotion for sin, knowing, what the end result is,makes the difference. emotions is what seperates us from robots or brute beast of the field, animals live by instinct, people live by heart or emotion. God breathed a living soul with all emotions, this is what makes us who we are. and gives us the power to do good or do evil. satan does not make us sin,he uses adam’s sin nature ,we inherited, and uses the combonation,of emotion and the sin nature ,for good results, when God removes the sin nature, then we can live free of sin,but many call this progressive ,well there are 2 1st by the blood ,which must be sought after, then the progressive we can do.these things were what make a very strong saint,no wonder it is a misuderstood subject, because a fully saved, sanctified,Spirit filled saint of God can bring down stong holds of satan, and he knows this,so every notion is out in the world, except real HolyGhost sannctifing power to get adam;s nature out of a believer,

yes, sinner or Saint; unholy or holy; unrighteous or righteous; hell or Heaven. There’s no middle ground, for fence-sitting is unacceptable. When a person REALLY gets born again by the blood, they immediately get down to business with God and His Word.

          • Holyroller_11 says:

peter went to the gentiles first,to be shown their is no difference between jew or gentile and paul and peter had 2 different paths 1 to the jew the other to the gentile,no sin there. also God can’t look on sin without destroying it,so the blood of Jesus covers the saint, and God sees the blood. Jesus said be perfect even as my Father in heaven is perfect,so would Jesus command us to do somthing we could not. with man impossible with God all things possible, this is the WORD OF GOD, what else is there, mark 10;15 verily verily I say unto you whosoever shall not recieve the kingdom as a little child, he shall not enter therein ,

So, IF Peter did not sin by treating gentiles as unclean, after God gave him a vision showing them clean, then Paul sinned by rebuking him openly and causing confusion.

Where does the Bible say, "God cannot look on sin without destroying it,"? If God is omnipresent, then there is no place in the universe he cannot see, yet sin persists. He knows all things done in secret, yet sin persists…. He has not destroyed it. I do not understand your logic to be rooted in the Bible, nor real life.

The whole point of 'be ye perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect," is that we love our enemies, even as God loves them. And so, we are to be likewise perfect.

            This is an interesting discussion.

peter was under the law, because he was a jew so therefore he raised not to give the bread from the childrens table to the dogs(gentiles) this is old testament,he was doing as he was taught ,but after Jesus shown him it was allright, but this was not a sin ,Paul had a different minstry he was both jew and gentile,God would not even allow Moses to see God’s face.the blood covers in,God sees the blood

          • Holyroller_11 says:

Paul being zelious fo God,is why he was chosen, this zeal for God was not sin either, his sin was as everyone elses, born with it, but God saw Paul as dedicated,he just didn’t have the right understanding. like all people at 1 time or another, also God walked with Adam, until sin. the Israelites couldn’t get on the mountain, lest they die,the priest couldn’t enter the holy of holies with sin or they die,on the cross,Jesus cried, why hast thou hid forsaken me ,because he turned away while the sin offering was being forfilled.God WILL not look on sin, by the way when sin entered in the world,he did destroy it,with death to every man

      • Holyroller_11 says:

we seem to run into each other often, and I truly believe your heart is in the right place,I don’t go out of my way to be a pain, but in this subject, sin cannot enter in and must be rooted out or burn,He will fix it,not man,God, sin ended outsided the gate with Christ blood,as far as saints go,who are real saints

        • Timothy Luke says:

A lot of times Joe, if we listen to each other, we find we agree on the basic precepts, but find ourselves looking at it from differing perspectives. We are all seeing through the same glass dimly and describing spiritual mysteries as best we know how. The context of the discussion is in 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. So, when we are not seeing it as the other person, let us love one another in the midst of the disagreements. We are doing better on that score!

Regarding our sister, she has confessed her sin, and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. She has gotten on with her life, putting the sin behind her. You are not arguing that she is not forgiven I presume?

"Though the righteous fall seven times, the Lord shall lift him up." We are righteous when we stumble, we are righteous when our face is in the mud. We are righteous when he brushes us off… for our righteousness is found in Him. We are to, of course, resume our walk and avoid those things that cause us to stumble. Grace gives us the measure of time and strength to overcome. We are called to overcome sin, not continue to walk in it, yet we are still babes, growing in the Word unto the perfection to which we are called.

Do we agree on what I have written here at least???

          • Holyroller_11 says:

I have no problem with forgiveness and returning to God, and I have none with growing each day to keep from sin, I just say, after confession,we must have a cleaning shortly after or we will lose what we gained(salvation) and this cleaning is a sudden work of God,and after his work, then we can walk, free of sin,not years later, months later, also if 1 only settles for forgiveness, and seeks nothing else, the flesh(sand and stone) will choke the newborn and he will die, I refer to my own cleaning often, only like you,can know the difference,of before and after a miracle from God,all saints are miracles of God,who holds us in his hand. I don’t preach what is heresay,or church doctrine without proving it first, we just can’t stay on milk long or we will die,and people need to know, forgiveness is not a mastercard, use it when you need it,put it away when you don’t, my deliverence is not strange except in these last days of the 10 minute prayer,I have seen too many fall because of it,the sad thing is,some don’t know they are fallen, because of lack of knowledge. my son has been saved about 2 months or less, and I tell him he must press to recieve a supernatural experence with God ,so he has been keeping the church and saome of the people late, and 2 days ago, while at home in his closet,he saw a knot on his knee gone, been there 10 years,a injury from early years.it was the size of a large marble.this is what must be done to stay alive and we can live a sinless life, not saying a stumble a sinless life, and must start by God cleaning out adam’s nature, and must be hungered after quickly,or be lukewarm for ever and fall in the end,as for us in agreement ,I agree she or whoever is under graceand is saved now and to recieve sanctification quickly,or a fall will be soon, thats the best I can do. and Tim these are babes,so their knowledge is limited,so they must be aware to servive is to seek God’s power quickly, less the ememy steal what they have found, and God bless you ,but you can raise my bloodpressure, good day

          • Timothy Luke says:

To cleanse of sin we need two things. Repentance from dead works, but the prerequisite for receiving forgiveness and release from dead works, is that we forgive others.

These set the stage for the deliverance and the miraculous intervention of God. We will stumble, we must quickly repent, and not make excuse for it. In this, though we sin, we are not walking in sin. I believe the verses you quote in 1 John are referring to walking in sin, but does not negate a Christian stumbling along the way.

How's your blood pressure now? 🙂

  2. Jesus_Iz_Lord says:

I have sinned against God, I have went my own way and led by seducing spirits. I gave my self over to pornography, masturbation, fornication, lying, and just an altered mind state altogether. i have disrepected reputed gangleaders, mob bosses and organizations under demon power. I used to get on the internet and would fall into trances, and when I come out things would be all wrong. Death is stalking me, and I need help. Its been four years and I still get harrassed. All these things were done under demonic influence. Its pretty serious. Since then I have given my self totally (the best I could) over to the lord Jesus Christ. Sadly tho the consequences of my sins still follow me and try to torment me. The enemy hates me, and wants to kill me. I am barred and blackballed seems like from every aspect of society. I have had several spiritual encounters in which demons taunt me. Its pretty terrible, however I still am trusting in the true and living God. It’s like because of what im going through God has allowed me to see the truth of alot of things. The enemy has control over the people christians and non christians alike. Its very seroius. I have been kicked out of every church I have attended. Once in my home a demon stood there and told me, I’m going to kill you, you mother *****. I was so depressed and possessed I was like what ever, then the demon left, but while it was leaving, I said ha! i’ll just go to church. It immediately re appeard and said ” this is going to be interesting” and it left. Well that was about four years ago and I have seen demons lead the pastor, worship, prayers and everything else and I have been banned from churches by the pastors and their followers. Yes!!!!! it’s that serious. He has everyone that see’s me hate me. I see spirits in people its so horrible. even with christian artists, im seeing things. Nothing is as what it seems, I have opened some pretty serious doors, and I need help and fellow ship with true believers. I tossed out my christian cds the lord revealed to me hidden messages from the enemy himself. So please I need to link with true believers. And pray for me, I need it. They want to kill me. Oh and yes I repented from all of these wrongs that I did, and told people I was sorry. The have so many lies out here about me and has ruined my reputation, image, name and everything esle. I need total healing and restoration. Please ya’ll pray for me and with me. I want to be free from these bondages, also I walk in constant fear of people knowing where I live, or just going to my car its pretty serious. I’ve angered some real gangsters and mob figures under demonic persuasion. I need you Jesus, and I need you guys to stand with me if thats possible. thank you.

    • Beloved, The help you seek is love. There is no greater power than love. I can understand what you have been through and I know how the enemy can torment you and all you have done is powerless against the enemy that you face. But I will tell you this thrughout the bible God says do not fear. I will ask you to start to study about love. God’s love and then surrender as Paul did about his thorn in the flesh.

What was the Lord’s reply to Paul. You look it up and what did Paul speak about love. For God did not give us fear but POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. Here lies your victory. Surrender all and abandon your life to our Lord Jesus Christ.. Surrender all your circumstances to God for Him to handle and rest in the love and peace of Jesus Christ our lord. For ALL POWER AND AUTHORITY HAS BEEN GIVEN TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Has not the living God commanded you not to fear. Embrace that God is in you and walking with you and He will never never fail you nor forsake you. Embrace with all that you have. meditate and talk about the love of Jesus. Even when demons appear before you love them with the love of Jesus. For there is no greater power than love and forgivness in this universe.

God bless you beloved and I stand in agreement with you for your victory over the enemy for you life. Just remember if they could have they would have already killed you. But God’s hand has stayed them from that act. Read the first chapter in Job and see that even satan himself has to give account to God almoghty.

God bles you beloved and know and see the power of God that tramples your enemies.. The Psalms are full of warfare passages. The 18th is one. From there ask the holy Spirit to direct you where to read. But remember for you it is LOVE. The LOVE OF GOD

  3. GOOD DAY ALL,
My name is Amanda Mdedelwa, i am living in South Africa. I an truly blessed and so happy to have fount this site, God is good all the time! Fellow Christians, i have been confused for some time now but now i believe that God is above any situation.
i am married and am currently expecting my second child, even before conception i asked God to bless me with a son, and as soon as i found out that i was pregnant i kept speaking the Word, i kept declaring that i am expecting my son in Jesus’ Name. I recently went to see my gynaecologist to check on the general development of the baby and he mentioned that this child might be a girl, i was sad for a moment but when i stepped out of the offices i refused to accept the news, i kept referring to my unborn baby as my baby boy. I believe that God has the final report, I declare right now in the Name of Jesus that i will give birth to a healthy & beautiful baby boy just like i had asked God in my prayers. I know each child is a blessing and indeed i am happy, but if it is the same God who gives me a specific job, He will indeed give me my son.Amen
Please pray with me, i need a prayer partner/partners please?

    • Timothy Luke says:

Dear Amanda, the Lord heard your request before you conceived. You have already gotten your answer and the Lord will not change the gender of his child from what He has already begun. If the Lord wanted another daughter through you, would you want to assert your will over His? Give thanks for this child, whoever it may be. Ask the Lord to give you His heart for this little blessing, and do not fear or wrestle with Him on it. He has already answered at the moment of conception, so you need not seek to twist his arm. He loves you and has the very best for you! It may be that he will give you two sons, but not at this time. His will shall be manifest and you will surely rejoice!

If your mother were to ask the Lord to make you a man, would he do it? He will not change your child’s gender either – for He has a plan and purpose for them, and their gender is part of that identity.
