Post Tribulation Preparation

I would like to start a discussion on how we, as christians, may prepare for the tribulation.

For discussion sake, let’s all assume the pre-trib rapture theology is wrong and that we will go thru the tribulation until Jesus returns at Armageddon.

How will we prepare for this coming event?

What should we do or what can we do?

What will life be like here in the U.S. or elsewhere during this time?

Should we all head for the hills?

Pay off all our bills and home, if possible?

Pack freeze dried food along with a portable water distiller?

Trade all our money in for gold?

Live in a commune? or leave our country?

If we don’t take the mark how will we survive? Work, eat, assemble with other believers?

How will going thru the tribulation change our prayer and fasting life?

How will the tribulation effect our relationship and fellowship with God?

How will we remain “in the faith” and stay “strong in the faith” during this critical period in time?

Is it possible that you would give in? Quit? Take the mark?

If I take the mark can I later repent?

Do you have the guts to be beheaded for Christ?

Will you die for Him?

Watch your family die for Him?

How far are you willing to go?

What do YOU think?

  1. I believe he tells us to watchfull and sober minded. I think if you start stocking up food & supplies without being told to by His Holy Spirit. That you are not trusting the Lord. He fed John on Locusts & wild Honey. The children of Israel were fed Manna & pheasant. Noah & his family stocked up on food but God told them to. If you have Fear then you need to go to your prayer closet and get closer to God. You don’t want to be like some people and who’s hearts fail them for the fear of what is coming or others whom hide under rocks begging the rocks to hide them. I know that those who attempt to do things on Their own pack Guns and they seem to go wacko. So learn to be ferverant and to trust in the lord. His yoke is lighter than our own and to be in his presence always. What a great gift.

  2. Dear David,

These are important questions, and thanks for raising the issue.

Everyone can begin to prepare right now, and ought to.

The real issues are whether we have learned to trust in Jesus for strength, for an eternal future, for our daily needs, or not. And secondly, are we willing to embrace suffering TODAY in order to do the will of God, and still love the Lord? For if we are not, why do we presume we will be willing to embrace TREMENDOUS suffering, the loss of all earthly wealth, free access to ATM cash and abundant food and so forth, THEN?

If a soft Christian, recently disappointed “by God” because the pre-trib rapture did not take place as expected, is faced with the choice to take the verichip or whatever the mark of the beast will be, in order to keep shopping and earning in the system, or to abandon the system completely and trust God through thick and thin, what will be the likely decision?

If the choice of the heart has always been to trust the world and the things of the world, or to prefer comfort to the afflictions of the righteous, then it is likely that the person will make excuses to themselves and compromise yet again with the world.

It is NOW that we need to learn to embrace the cross. For this is the only true way that we will know the real voice of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit may lead us to head for the hills. He may transport us supernaturally into the wilderness and feed us with manna from heaven. He may give us the grace to bear glorious witness to Jesus if we be captured by government agents, tortured and killed! But we need to learn to trust Him now. We need to get rid of sin now.

This means we have to turn away from worldly comforts, youthful lusts, greedy pursuits, prideful endeavours and let God’s glory and divine love for God and others become the ruling motives of our heart, even if it is sometime painful along the way.

    That is how we prepare.

Because when God is truly talking with you consistently, you have true riches. The treasures of the Spirit no one can take away, if you are walking in the path of Jesus.

I have a question why do we have to run to the hills in the end times?
      is their a purpose?

      • Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

The Lord made that statement and He did not qualify it. It is an act of obedience to a warning. When we see these things coming, it might be a good idea to do what the person who warned us of the event said we should do. No purpose was given, but we will know why after the fact, I am sure. This was given to those in Judea so I do not think heading for the Rockies is the thing to do in America :).

        Blessings and Peace,
        Timothy

The prophesy of this, timothy,is for the Jew,It also says, hope your flight is not on the sabboth, why? because the jew will not travel more than 1 mile on the sabboth. In rev chapters 1—-6 the word church is mentioned 14 times, after this it is spoken of no more, the terms are in a old testiment language after this, until the trib is over, then church is back. The Lord said he would keep his people from that hour! In the twikling of an eye ,now thats fast! How would the saints come back with him to mount olive,if they were not raptured, they had to go up in order to come down. I don;t know about you but I will be at the wedding dinner, hope to see you there!

  3. JustAGuy says:

What did Jesus say we should do to prepare? That is the beginning and end of the answers to your questions.

We must be about our Father’s business. We can talk currencies and countries, but our spiritual condition and actions are what we will be judged on. If we do the first works, He will be His grace enable us to walk through all that lies ahead.

    Blessings and Peace,
    Timothy

  4. Good question Gate, highly relevent to the times we live in I believe.
    Have you seen this site?
    http://www.tribwatch.com/
I believe that the true church will fulfil its description as a “city on a hill”
What more powerful witness than to be prepared to suffer death rather than surrender to the beast system.
    God bless,
    Pete
