Within a day of the shock announcement of the resignation of Pope Benedict, the news came out showing a photo of lightning striking the Vatican.
People claim to have caught this event on video. I'm not sure what it means.
What I do believe is that the world is going to see some major changes in 2013 and the years ahead. We could be very surprised at the speed at which things move.
There is speculation that the pope who will come into power in March 2013 will be the last pope before the return of Jesus Christ. Because the Roman Catholic church has not been true to the gospel, there is no reason to believe that the next pope will be a true follower of Christ. If he DOES become the last pope, which would apparently confirm a much discussed prophecy of "St Malachy" back in the 12th century, we could expect that he is a candidate for the role of "The False Prophet" discussed in the Book of Revelation.
We need to be very careful that we stay with the gospels and with the Word of God, and not allow any supposed signs and wonders which may come to lead us away from what the Bible plainly teaches about the way of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
