Missionaries beaten in North India

NORTH INDIA :– A Gospel for Asia missionary and a Bible college student were attacked August 15 after distributing Gospel tracts to people in North India.

The injured missionary was one of more than 200 GFA missionaries and Bible college students taking part in an urban outreach. They were divided into groups and working in a large urban area handing out tracts. Things were going well for the first few hours as most people accepted the literature and listened to the Gospel presentations.

Devoted Christian murdered in Kerala

KERALA, INDIA – A Christian estate owner was killed at Thathengalam, near Mannarghat in the Palakkad district of Kerala, India, on 17 August.

John Mathew, also known as Monachan, was a prayer warrior and cash crop entrepreneur.
According to Salem Voice Ministries (SVM) News Service, John Mathew, 47, who was also known as Monachan of Pothukal Njettikkulam in Nilambur of Malappuram district, was killed in his farm house at Thathengalam on Thursday night.

His dead body was found at 7.30 on Friday morning on the floor inside the farm house. Both of his hands and legs were tied up.

Pastor attacked in Madyar Pradesh

Pastor, believers attacked in Bhilai

Bhilai: Pastor Babula Chandra Paik of Christian Church was attacked during Sunday worship service in Bhilai of Madhya Pradesh on 5 August 2007.

Around 50 Hindu fanatics belonging to Bajrang Dal entered the church armed with lathis and sticks and started raising slogans against the congregation. They were protesting against the Pastor’s alleged forcible conversion activities in the area.

The fanatics led by Rajesh Thabre and Sudeep Banerjee, leaders of Bajrang Dal, dragged the Pastor out and manhandled him.

August 13 :– A school in central Vietnam has denied entry to a fifth-grade boy because he is Christian, according to a letter from an elementary school principal to the ethnic minority child’s parents.
