Huge Perversions of the SDA Clear Bible

Seventh Day Sabbath

This clearly shows how Seventh Day Adventists Bible that they use is a clear violation of true text. It does not get any more clear than this. The sad part is many people get brainwashed in the perversion. I pray that they let go. If a SDA can not read this and see how badly altered the scriptures are in order to make their false doctrine “real” and “fit” what they are saying, then there is no intellectual honesty on their part.

It is a sad predicament. If you remain quiet, then you agree with them and they can not find their way out of this cult. Contrary to a few SDA’a opinion. I do not periodically put this up to slander the SDA. I put it up to give people a scource to make a good decsion because their material is being flooded here daily and it is not Christian at all.

KJB=King James Bible
CW=Clear Word Bible that was made by the SDA for themselves

Adventists teach that seventh-day Sabbath keeping is the seal of God and will become the final test of loyalty to Christ for all Christians.

Genesis 2:2-3

KJB – “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”

CWB- “Then on the seventh day of creation week, God stopped to enjoy what He had made and to rest in the beauty of it all. So He blessed the seventh day and set it apart as a day of spiritual refreshment and joy.”

The CWB makes the seventh day part of “creation week” rather than a celebration of a finished creation.

Exodus 5:5

KJB – “And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.”

CWB – “You’ve created enough problems by making them rest every week on your Sabbath…”

Exodus 16:5

KJB – “And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”

CWB – “On the sixth day they should gather twice as much as on the other days so as to have enough for the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, the day I set aside for worship and rest.”

Exodus 31:13-16

KJB – “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.”

CWB – Say to the people, “Most importantly, remember to keep the Sabbath holy because it is a very special day for me, and it’s a day of rest for you. It’s a sign between you and me for all time to show that you are the people whom I have chosen and set apart. The Sabbath is holy and anyone who desecrates it be working on that day will be put do death, since that would be an act of treason against God’s government. My people are to keep the Sabbath, celebrating it as a sign that they belong to me.”

Note how the CW has changed “Israel” to “people” to make it appear that the Sabbath is intended for all people, not just for Israel, as Scripture teaches. It has also changed “put to death” to “an act of treason against God’s government.” Verse 16 in the CWB has corrupted Scripture by leaving out “celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant” to My people…” This is a clear, purposeful twisting of God’s word to make it appear the Sabbath was a universal institution for all people.

Leviticus 23:3

KJB – “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.”

CWB – “There has always been the weekly Sabbath…”

Hebrews 4:4

KJB – “For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.”

CWB – “That’s why at creation He gave man the seventh-day Sabbath, not only as a reminder of creation week, but also as a symbol of spiritual rest. According to the Scriptures, God Himself rested on the seventh day and enjoyed this special time with man.”

Note that the CW states “according to the Scriptures” and then adds fantastic things not in the Scriptures!

Hebrews 4:9

KJB – “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”

CWB – “So there still remains the offer of spiritual rest that God intends for each generation to have, of which the Sabbath is a symbol.”

Note how the CW has twisted this verse! (See Sabbath in Crisis, P. 233-248 for a full exegesis of this text.)

Acts 20

KJB – “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

CWB – “After sundown on Saturday night, the believers got together for a fellowship meal and to say good-by to Paul. That evening he spoke to them until midnight, after which he hoped to get a few hours sleep before leaving early Sunday morning.”

Note how the CW calls this a Saturday night meeting, changes “break bread,” a term used by the early church for communion, to a fellowship meal and to say good-by to Paul. This twisting of Scripture completely changes the force of this verse to fit Adventist theology.

Colossians 2:16

Colossians 2:16 is a very important verse in that it shows clearly that the Seventh-day Sabbath is only a shadow of Christ. This verse should be studied in its context and also compared to its Old Testament Parallel, Ezekiel 45:17 (below). When the terms “festival (or equivalent), new moons and Sabbaths are used together in the Old Testament, the word Sabbath always refers to the Seventh-day Sabbath. Also, these terms are usually used in either ascending or descending sequence: festival (yearly) new moons (monthly) Sabbaths (weekly) or Sabbaths (weekly), new moons (monthly), festivals (yearly). These two well established patterns make it certain that the Seventh-day Sabbath is in view in Colossians 2:16 and this fact undermines the whole SDA emphasis on the seventh-day Sabbath. Note how they have twisted both Colossians 2:16 as well as the Old Testament parallel text, Ezekiel 45:17. They have tried to make the term “Sabbaths” refer to the special yearly feasts and in so doing have made Paul redundant. They have also mixed up the wording so the apparent ascending or descending sequence is broken, thus twisting this verse in two ways to fit their doctrine and corrupt the truth of God’s word.

Colossians 2:16,17

KJB – “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

CWB – “Don’t let anyone control you life by giving you a set of ceremonial rules about what to eat, what to drink and what monthly festivals or special Sabbaths to keep. All these rules were given as a shadow of the reality to come and that reality is Jesus Christ.”

Ezekiel 45:17

KJB – “And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.”

CWB – “It will be his duty to provide these national offerings on all appointed festivals with their special Sabbaths, including the monthly festival of the New Moon. He is to bring grain offerings, whole burnt offerings and peace offerings for an atonement for the nation as a whole.”

Revelation 1:10

KJB – “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day…”

CWB – On Sabbath morning when I had gone to the rocky island shore to meditate and worship…

One can see by the examples listed above that The Clear Word Bible makes deletions, additions and twists the Word of God to make the Bible teach what it does not teach: required universal observance of the seventh-day Sabbath for all peoples–Adventist doctrine.

It is so good to see so many SDA’s reading the truth, and so sad to see so many turn their backs on it. Listen up folks, you may only get one chance to hear the true Word of God before judgement day. After reading all of your responses you cannot stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and say, “but I didn’t know, I was decieved!!” It amazes me how strongly you defend your church and even EGW but not a single well known or even not so well known mininster of your church will stand up in a public forum and debate the issue of the Sabbath and if EGW was really a prophetess or a deciever leading many straight to hell. If you truly believed in the Sabbath and in EGW as a prophetess STAND UP AND DEFEND HER AND YOUR BIBLICAL POINT OF VIEW IN A PUBLIC FORUM. Until then please keep your thoughts and your destructive lies to confined to yourselves.

Okay, Tropical_guy, it is enough to say!
You are sure about what you say, it will be wise if you quote from their official stuffs. In that way, we will know if what you say is True or spurious! I think that is the best way I have ever seen people presenting apology or expose.

Even in expose, the main purpose is opening eyes of those who are deceived not scorn at them. So remember Christians always speak truth in strictly but lovely way i.e Speak Truth in love.

Till then, we are waiting for proof, or else remove your comments!

Tit 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live sober

I think you missed a scripture or two about being a Watchman. Do you condemn Jesus for his talk on the Priests?

SDA Believes Jesus is an angel named michael

They believe they are the only church

they believe in the cross plus…which is wrong

    • Romans 3:20 says:

I’ve read several of your comments so far and must say that all you are proving is that you are a divisive antagonist who doesn’t have the love of Jesus in his heart!

I do not even recognize you as a true believer. I just see hatred in your words towards other believers. You need to spend more time in pray and less time complaining about others whom you do not agree with.

    • Jason Lassel says:

This comment is NOT true, we do NOT believe that we are the only church, and we do NOT believe that Jesus is an angel named Michael. I our church we do NOT use the Clear Word bible and our Pastor Never uses that bible to Preach out of.

      • I’m sorry for the disturbance this has all created. Its not good for someone to misrepresent the position of another. Tropical_Guy has been asked not to post on this site any more. It seems that he has confused certain aspects of Jehovah’s Witness or Watchtower teaching with SDA teaching.

        • Dennis Thompson says:

Sir you do not know much. The SDA was born out of the same influence that the Mormons were born out of. Much of what you speak here is way off base

          • Hi Dennis,

I believe that the spirit of false prophecy, the religious spirit was involved in the founding of both of the movements you mention – Mormons and SDAs. But their doctrines are completely different, and the SDA teaching is a lot closer to the Bible truth than the crazy mixture of freemasonry, Christianity and religious fantasy which is Mormonism today.

The problem with SDA teaching is essentially that many have fallen into the error of the Galatians – thinking that their relationship with God depends on such things as keeping Saturday as the Sabbath, not eating certain meats and the like. In keeping the focus on law-keeping, they have neglected true relationship with the Holy Spirit.

          • I grew up in Worldwide Church of God. We outdid the SDAs in that we kept the fourth commandment, including the annual sabbaths, 3 tithes, clean meats. I noticed that we did not keep the new moons, and mysteriously they WERE done away at Christ’s death. Also, the need to kill animals was done away. The interesting thing I came to realize was that one of the key reasons I found for keeping the sabbath day, ‘its perpetual – found in creation and seen as ongoing even in the millennium’, could also be said for slaying animals in sacrifice.

I realized that in keeping the sabbath day, the Pharisees killed the Sabbath Giver. Keeping the physical commands did not bring the heart into line with the spiritual truth and relationship God seeks. I will post a blog on the Sabbath. I saw that keeping the sabbath day took up so much of the church’s message in ‘proving’ it to ourselves and others, that our bond as a church was centered more on the day than on weightier matters.

            Blessings and Peace,

  4. Admonition says:

First of all, the CWB wasn’t made by the SDA, but was created by a man by the name of Jack Blanco. Sure, it was published by an SDA publisher; but that doesn’t mean the SDA church officially upholds the CWB as that which constitutes the SDA Bible. Secondly, SDAs do not recognize CWB as a Bible, but as a paraphrase of the Bible, which is precisely what it is; and Jack Blanco would even tell you that to your face if you asked him to. Thirdly, even though you appear to give the impression that this is the SDA Bible, that is not true at all. Most SDAs don’t even use this paraphrase of the Bible. They actually use the KJV. Finally, it would be a good idea for you to get your facts straight before embarrassing yourself by posting lies about people whom you obviously don’t know very much about!

My conclusion about you posting this is that you are either deceived or you are trying to deceive others by bearing false witness against the SDA church. But whatever the case may be, you have not been completely honest in this post, and as a result of that I think you should publicly apologize to the SDA church for stating things about it in this post that are obviously false. Of course, you don’t have to do that, but know this:

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:35-37 NKJV)

Do what is right before it is too late!

    • You could have not stated that any better…it’s sad to see people attack and lie about things they do not even know.
