God is a good God. He wants you to experience that. All you need to do is trust Him. Trust Him enough to listen to Him and go His way.
He sent his Son Jesus to die on a cross and pay for your sins. If He did that for you He'd give you any good thing! God raised Jesus from the dead and now He wants to get involved personally in your life. The only thing you'll lose if you trust in Jesus is that which is evil and will kill you spiritually. I have to tell you though, in case you have not realised it yet, that includes your corrupt self life. Our natural tendencies lead us away from God, we have to put them to death, daily. That is the painful part of following Jesus. To follow Jesus you have to give yourself to God, renounce your right to be lord of your own life, trust God, and turn from evil both inwardly and outwardly. You need to learn the will of God, which is expressed in the teachings of Jesus, and do it. This requires a change of heart, and a serious daily application of yourself to the Word of God.
We were made by God and for God. God made us, and loves us, even though imperfections and faults have come in through the sins of our forefathers. But when we give all we have to God, we can receive all He has. He has even promised us a new body when these few years of earthly life are over. Don't miss out on God's plan for your life!

I do not think under any condition does God want you to leave your children...They will see this as abandonment even though they may be with their father....You are being manipulated to think that this is a good idea so you can get out of the snare that satan has set for you by living with a man...Your children are to be your first and foremost consideration....God is able to seperate you from this man but you must also be willing to do what God wants you to do....I would encourage you to start attending a church where you are at and take your children with you when you go to church...Reach out to God and His Bride for help and become strong in the Lord so you can make right decisions...Most churches do not condemn persons in your situation but love them just as they are as Christ loves you and the man you are with....Blessings

thank you for responding,I have gone to a church, but this man continues to keep me controlled for fear of losing me,I feel too weak to do this on my own. I have no job and no family here where i live. I did pray about this, and my sister called and said she was trying to get a bit of money together from my brother to help me get out.. drinking and drugs are involved with this man. Then I could get myself together and send for my kids...but I am going to a bible study group tues morning..
I have 4 kids living with me, two are old enough to try and get an apartment, two are 12 and 17.
I have been struggling with this same problem for 5 years. I cannot go through much more.
I pray for God to make me strong, but I am soooo weak from being manilpulated with drugs and alcohol, and money

I am attending a church that has a lot of disunity. There are several members that are causing the disunity. They are trying to sway people from the faith by teaching about 1 Cor. 11:1-16 (veiling), demanding for women to wear veils during worship service. They argue about the bible being ambiguous and to go back the apostolic teachings. They are caught up the Council of Nicaea and trying to push the limits.
I would like some input on how to protect my heart and the hearts of others. Please, give me some Godly advise.

Quote these verses to those stirring up strife and point those who are troubled about the hair issue to their liberty to wear a veil and their obligation to allow you to follow the dictates of your heart. If they feel they must leave the fellowship, then release them with your blessing and count your church as freshly pruned and ready for new growth.
If they choose to remain, it ought to be with adherence to the guideline Paul lays out that they are not to put trivialities forward that only cause division and strife. If "they" are the church leaders, then it is time to consider looking for a healthy flock to fellowship in and bless them on your way out.

Could you all pray for my family who is continually under attack? I have asked God to reveal the source or reason for these attacks, and I need to know why these continue! I have prayed against the Masonic spirits,(due to my father having been a Worshipful Master in the Masons) and gone through all the prayers re: the degrees, etc. But it seems endless when I go to see my Father (on earth) who has still not repented! I have prayed for protection, and for answers as to whether I am even supposed to continue seeing him or not. He is in a nursing home with Alzheimers, but is extremely alert when I visit him, even to the point of asking questions right out of the pit of hell!!!!Those things he asks about come under cursings immediately!!Sometimes he just mutters about bankruptcy and evil things when he is not quite awake if I call him. Its as if he is saying it re:my family and finances, etc. I have spoken to him about the Gospel, and asking God for forgiveness and he always tells me I am full of it, or laughs, or scoffs at me. Since he has done this numerous times, I would like to discontinue seeing him, as it ALWAYS proves harmful to my family. Please pray that I would hear definitively about this issue. He has willlingly given himself to this cult, and is determined to keep on with it. He is my father! How do I honor him? I feel comfortable praying for him, but not much else. He is very difficult to love. I don't know where to draw the line!! Thanks for listening.

Yes, I pray you will know from the Lord. I would say pray, because the battle is spiritual. Just talking to him won't change him, sounds like he is still full of pride. I would not go to him unless you believe God tells you to do so. You should only go in the timing of God.
In the meantime, I believe that if you give yourself to praising the Lord in your circumstance, as difficult as that would be, it would give you the upper edge spiritually to defeat satan's attacks.

reminding me that it has to be a Spirit led thing! I do know that, but my brother is in charge of my father, and prompts me continually to go see him weekly,to the point of giving me money to take him to lunch! I then feel guilty carrying the money, and not seeing my dad.
You are exactly correct, and I guess I am going to have to tell my brother that if I spend money which he would like to reimburse me for, I will send him a receipt or something. That way, no nagging "Schedule" from my brother, and the Holy Spirit can communicate easier to me due to the 'guilt' being gone!
My mother I only went to see as the H.S. led, and she ended up repenting and coming to Jesus in the end of her life through miraculous circumstances led of God. Strangers going to see her, etc. It was beautiful. My father with his alzheimers and my brother's controlling ways have drowned out the Holy Spirit in my life at times.
