Changing Times

The other day I ran across something that I wasn’t aware of. In most new text books in this country the year is designated with CE or BCE instead of AD or BC. CE stands for “current era” and BCE stand for “before current era”. AD is the abbreviation for "Anno Domini" in Latin or "the year of our Lord" in English and BC stands for “Before Christ”. The use of CE and BCE is more widespread than I could have imagined.

Charismatic

First, I would like to state that I consider myself to be a charismatic Christian, which basically means I believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and believe everything it says including Mark 16: 17-18 “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” I do not pick and choose certain parts that line up with my beliefs and discard th

The Timing of the Rapture

First of all, I want to say that I am pro pre-tribulation rapture. Pro pre-trib in the sense that I would greatly prefer to not endure any of the tribulation, however there is a certain passages in the Bible that cannot be ignored. The pre-tribulation rapture view is largely popular and preached by most churches and televangelists throughout this country, but does Scripture support it?

Saved by the Light

I’m a 48 year old divorced man. I have two wonderful children which I see on the weekends and the Lord Jesus Christ is first in my life, but it always hasn’t been that way. I was raised in a Methodist Church. We attended service every Sunday and I was active in our youth group. I would get on fire for God after a youth group retreat, but I would slowly drift away upon returning.
