Faith Teaching

Learn what faith is and how to grow in faith with this teaching article and other writings below. Faith is infinitely valuable to us because without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is that inner knowing, that confidence in God that comes from REALLY hearing God's message with the heart. God wants us to be sure of what we hope for according to His promises, and certain of what we do not (yet) see. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings, and it is an offence against God Almighty to doubt or reject His message. On the other hand, trusting and obeying God puts us in a place where God will put His resources at our disposal so that we can execute His will as His ambassadors on the earth.

Confidence in God

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

Just How Important is Having Confidence?

The Passage the Devil wanted out of your Bible

There are plenty of Bible-believing evangelicals and fundamentalists who say they believe the Word of God, but sadly you’ll not find nearly as many who believe the words of Mark 16:15-20. Some people stop at verse 15 in their believing, some at verse 16 but if it really is the Word of God, God wants us to believe it all, right up to the end of verse 20.

The power in your words

Words – the Key to a Better Life

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21)

Is there really power in your words?

According to the Scriptures, the tongue has a power. Notice it says here, "the power of the tongue". Its obvious that the power referred to here is not the physical power of the tongue as a muscle, but the power of the words it produces. I've never heard of the word "tongue" used in relation to God Himself. Its a word used of human speech. So we can see that the Word of God is saying that our speech is tremendously important, powerful and significant. So much so that our words are a matter of life and death. Perhaps this is why Jesus declared, "But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment." (Matthew 12:36). "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:37). These declarations of Jesus Christ should cause us to sit up and take notice, and consider very carefully what kind of words are coming out of our mouths and why.

Faith in God

Faith in God makes us certain of what we do not see

Faith in God is marvellous because God is reliable. Faith releases the blessing of God. It brings God onto the scene.
