GLASS MINGLED WITH FIRE

(A short discourse on Revelation 15:2).

Saint John saw in a vision this incredible scene: “I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass” (Rev. 15:2 KJV).

What are we to make of this fantastic vision? I was meditating on this one verse and its incredible scene, wondering what it meant and symbolized, and called on the Holy Spirit to reveal to me its meaning.

God is the Strength of My Heart and My Portion Forever

"My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

(Psalm 73:26)

The Psalmist mentions the fact that sometime he can't handle all the stress of life. In his own strength, he cannot make it. He says, "My flesh and my heart fail". He is talking about the natural endurance of man, which although considerable at times, CANNOT make unaided it through every kind of crisis the world dishes up.

Facing your internal conflicts

I want to bring this thought to you from a sermon I heard by Bishop T. D. Jakes. While preaching articulately about the boy who was demon possessed, Bishop mentioned about how the father of that boy had brought his son to Jesus for healing and yet he cried out to help his unbelief.
