Introduction
I remember this day very well because something supernatural happened to me. I had just started opening my Holy Bible to find where to read. Suddenly, my heart caught an invisible fire. It was as if the room temperature had suddenly been increased. Had the house caught fire? No, there was no visible smoke or fire in the room.
I realised that this was the mighty presence of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, I will seek You until You come, and rain righteousness upon me. (Hos. 10:12)
Lord, I devote myself to prayer. Help me to keep myself alert in it, with thanksgiving. (Col. 3:2)
Lord, I ought always to pray and not lose heart. (Lk 18:1)
Teach me, Lord, in everything, by prayer and supplication to make my requests known to you. (Php 4:6).
O Lord, keep me from the sin of ceasing to pray for the people of God. (1 Samuel 12:23)
Help me Lord to not stop giving thanks to you for the people of God, making mention of them in my prayers. (Eph. 1:16; 1 Cor.
Pray without ceasing. (1 Thes. 5:17)
My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ears to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. (Pr. 4:20-22)
Lord, by your grace I will pray the Word as much as I can, so that while never ceasing to pray, I will keep my eyes on your Word for all the situations that confront me and all you want to say to me.
Lord, help me to pray without ceasing without letting your Word depart from my eyes.
I return to the LORD and obey His voice and the LORD my God will make me abundantly prosperous in all the work of my hand, in EVERYTHING. For the LORD takes delight in prospering me. Deut 30.9
My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Php 4.19
The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Ps 23.1
I am God’s servant – so, the Lord takes pleasure in my prosperity. Ps 35.27
God wants me to prosper and be in health, even as my soul prospers. 3John 1.2
The Lord my God teaches me to profit, and leads me by the way I should go. Is 48.17
WHAT I MUST SPEAK AND WHAT I MUST NOT SPEAK I must let no corrupt word proceed out of my mouth, but only such a word as is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Eph 4.29
I must speak evil of no man. Tit 3.2
I must restrain my lips. Pr 10.19
I must be continually filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in my heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 5.18-5.20
Our series of studies would not be complete without considering the principles by which a true disciple of Jesus should be guided in the matter of responsibly and biblically handling the natural resources which God has given to each one. In this study we will consider Biblical principles that apply to the way we handle the time, money and talents we have received from God. Most of us would like more resources – more free time, more money and more abilities.

(1 Corinthians Chapter 12)
1. WE NEED TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS TRUE IN ALL RESPECTS.
(a) Quotation:
“THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD.
It is supernatural in origin, eternal in duration, inexpressible in value, infinite in scope, regenerative in power, infallible in authority, universal in interest, personal in application,
inspired in totality.

HARVEST
John 4: 35: ‘Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for
harvest!”
LIFTING UP THE NAME OF JESUS
John 12: 32 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
OUR MANDATE FROM JESUS CHRIST
1.
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother. (1:1)
Paul is writing with tremendous spiritual authority. He is writing as an ‘apostle’, literally, ‘a sent one’ of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ actually sent Paul out by divine revelation. Paul has learned to know the voice of the Lord, and the Lord has entrusted Paul with a lot of responsibilty. Paul is not an apostle because he wanted to be, but because God chose him to be. It was the will of God.
