Reading most of the post on the Tree of Life, has been a very interesting subject. I realized that many Christians have been taught as a young student, the idea of evolution and many pastors, Christian teachers have failed in the Biblical teaching of Creation. The toro, the first five books were the most important teachings to the children of God as they discovered the truth of Yahweh. So, why the creation story? The nation of Israel, became the greatest influence to the nations around them. They discovered in the story, of the relationship to the creator and his care for his creation.
I have found a very interesting online edition of an early 4th century text by Eusebius Pamphili, bishop of Caesaria. It is an intellectual defense of Christianity, and we can learn a lot from it even today.
Some believe that we create our own reality and that all religions might be just as valid in their own way as any other belief system.
I’m sure that many people of different religions seriously believe the teachings of their religion. But I believe there are limits to the reality we can create through our own beliefs. Once death occurs, in my view anyway, which is based on the teaching of Jesus, souls will go to the spiritual kingdom they died belonging to, and after that there is going to be an eternal judgment and a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Some religious leaders have the idea that only certain people have the right
to read and pray to God in order to understand what God is saying to them through
the Bible. For this reasons in some churches the Bible was kept for centuries
untranslated in the language of the people. In this way religious leaders could
claim to represent Christ and teach the truth without people being able to check
them out. Just as Jesus said to the Pharisees, so we say to such leaders: “Hypocrites!
