It was the weekend and I had a bit too much to drink at my friends 25th birthday party in New York City. I don’t recollect leaving the bar and I when I reached my apt in NYC, three guys including a girl helped me to the apt (they came right inside the apt where I live with my sister). When I woke up in the afternoon, I realized my watch and Ipod on me and so was a $110 in cash from my wallet missing. The shades in my apartment which I had recently purchased for $275 was also missing.
Everywhere I go, I am always asked why it is that God chooses to use me. People say: “You were born into a Hindu family, in a place called Bellary which no one has ever heard of. Yet God uses you so powerfully. What’s the secret?
Well, brothers and sisters, I can honestly say that God has no favorites. He never says that one man is very special and another is not. To God, every one is equal. The Bible says that we serve a God who is no respecter of persons.
So if it is true that God loves everybody the same, why are some people used and others not?
I grew up in an alcoholic home. My dad was a violent alcoholic and my mom was a mess because of it. I won’t go into details because it would take too long and there are many people who have also lived through what I have. My marriage was a complete mess too. We were both control freaks trying to control one another. He was a major partier and I only did once in a while (after I had kids when we were still together). He cheated on my constantly and made me feel like I was worthless and all those other things that guys make you feel like when they want to control you.
“How many times do you have to touch rock bottom before you drown? Either pull me up or put me out.” This used to be a saying of mine as I was all too familiar with rock bottom. Most of my life was like a dark pit where I painfully clawed my way to the top, only to slide back down again. I am 33 years old today and I recently found my Saviour, Jesus Christ. He has given me such love that I’ve never felt, a peace I could have never imagined, an ecstatic joy that has flooded my whole being and a brand new life.
Dear Friends,
For my baptism, instead of standing up and giving my testimony, I felt God inspire me to put it in the form of a slideshow. The words/saying that came to me was “A picture is worth a thousand words”. I pray that it will inspire and encourage my fellow brothers and sister to hand their lives over to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, in hope that they will let Him guide their lives and shower them with peace, power and prosperity.

Revival in a small coastal town in Australia
The following article is an account of a revival that was reported in Outreach Magazine when Pastor Peter Earle, the Principal of the School of Ministries led a bible college team to Yeppoon. (Editor’s note: It is true that this story is now 10 years old. Still it is very encouraging and can inspire us to believe for God to do such great things again in Australia.)
*Jonathan* If he took away 99% of my desire for booze and left 1% up to me, that would be enough for me to get drunk on.
