Searching for Truth

We thanks God that the bible is widely available today, and anyone who hunger and thirsts for truth will find it through the pages of the bible. Anyone who wants to know the truth hears Jesus. “In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, TO TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH.” John 18:37. The question is, what is truth? God’s word is truth. Anyone who listens and obey Jesus is on the side of the truth. I ofter tell people that in order to find the truth, they need to settle first the question in their hearts if in fact the bible is indeed the inerrant, infallible word of God as it claims. We have to do our homework by analyzing the scripture itself and studying history, archeology and religions. When we have gathered the evidence, they can be so compelling that we will know for sure that the bible is indeed the revelation of God to humanity. Read 2 Timothy 3:16.

The bible states in the book of 1 John 5:9 “We accept man’s testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.” The question remains to all men. Whose testimony are you going to believe? What men confess or what Jesus confessed in the scripture? To settle this matter in the heart we need to apply the following verse in our lives, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31,32.
