My End Times Vision

God once gave me a vision of the end times–and I didn’t even know it (at the time)! This is how that happened.

I thought I was just going about an attempt to glorify God by using a gift he has given me by writing down a science-fiction story that I had in mind. This happened many years ago and I had forgotten about it for the most part. The story (never published and now lost; I have searched for it unsuccessfully) was about flying saucers coming en masse to earth to rescue us from the terrible times that had come to this world, including nuclear war. People were flocking to enter these space ships with their extraterrestrial crews, supposedly on a benevolent rescue mission to this world. But once on board those craft and on their way across the skies, these citizens of earth discovered to their horror that they had been duped and deceived. They were not on their way to a distant planet of advanced beings and a paradise in the heavens, but being whisked away to hell by demons posing as extraterrestrials.

That is the gist of the story. It was written the way most authors write a story. First a vision of the story must be formed in the mind, then that vision must be translated into words, to communicate the vision to others. That is how a story is born. But before the external, material birth of a written story, it must be born internally, in a vision of mind and spirit. One birth gives birth to the other.

I mentioned that I had mostly forgotten about this story. But from time to time, the Lord reminded me of the vision he had given to me that inspired me to write that story. He did this by bringing to my attention others of his children who had seen similar things. In one such vision, the receiver of that vision saw a disc come up from the ground and a voice proclaimed, “It shall come out of hell.”

When I read that, my spirit resonated with it. I knew that it was the same revelation that I had been given, but in a different form and emphasizing different aspects of the same future event that I had possibly seen. (I still wasn’t completely aware that I had been given a vision from God, just aware of that “ordinary” vision required to create a story.)

But over the years, God slowly kept bringing other confirmations of my own vision to me as I read various books and articles that fleshed out the whole topic. Then, recently, yet another confirmation came my way as a new book appeared, even in secular bookstores, that added yet another confirmation of my own vision and also included a vast amount of information about what is going on in the world right now to make this vision a reality, including gene manipulation to produce beings similar to the Nephilim of old mentioned in the Bible.

It was this last book that finally broke through my vagueness and made me realize that God had indeed shown me in this one area something that is coming to this world in the end times. I was excited when I read that book, for it was a confirmation of the vision given long ago and since expanded upon greatly by God to me over the years. It all added up to give a coherent vision and warning. I was so grateful to God for this. As I now share that vision with you, I pray that it will alert readers to God’s will for their lives and their place in these last, perilous times.

A summary of the vision is this:

Towards the end of this world, times will be so extraordinary and perilous (2 Tim. 3:1) that people will be seeking any way out. The arrival of “flying saucer”-type space craft (or other forms) claiming to be from other, more advanced planets, will be one way of escape that the world seeks. And the world will have been programmed for many years before their arrival to accept them for what they claim to be: space ships from other another world sent to rescue them. Do you think it is by accident that over these last decades that there has been an explosion of television programs about alien worlds and beings coming to earth in just this scenario? That is just one way the world has been programmed to accept this.

Other ways the world has been conditioned to accept this coming invasion is through the many UFO sightings all over the world for many years. Then there is the overall ascension of science and its attendant worldview. Time after time, when you investigate this worldview, you find a refusal even to consider anything spiritual as a cause for what happens in this world. After all, is not the material, physical world all there is? And does not everything have to be substantiated by or through scientific means? This is a lie. Those who cling to this worldview will not believe Christians who warn them that there is a spiritual realm and reality, and that the aliens in the invasion are really evil spirits or demons and not friendly extraterrestrials of science-fiction movies. Those holding to the solely materialistic worldview will not listen to the truth–so they are open to and will believe the lie.

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (2 Ths. 2:9-12 NIV).

“See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ” (Col. 2:8 RSV).

The word translated elemental in the above verse can mean rudimentary or basic elements of the material world, but is also used by those in the occult arts to signify spirits. There is an extremely close association of UFO’s and the occult world. Thus the supposed arrival of beings from another world appeals both to those who have a mystical bent as well as those with a scientific frame of mind.

We live in a technological world, with science holding sway. Alongside this, evolution removes the need for any god to account for our existence. All is simply the working out of natural laws that man (and whatever other beings may exist in the universe) can manipulate to achieve whatever goals he thinks worthwhile. Chief among these goals is for man himself to become a god. Through the manipulation of the natural energies available in the material cosmos, man can wield them to obtain godlike status. Such is the dream of many in this world.

What these dreamers are unaware of is that man is not the only being with this dream. Neither is he the first. Long, long ago, Lucifer, a heavenly being created by God without blemish, also dreamed of obtaining godhood, of taking God’s throne away from him (Is. 14:12-14, Ezk. 28:1-10). For this he was cast away from God’s presence in the third heaven, to the second heaven, the sphere of stars and planets.

A day is coming when Lucifer, now the devil and Satan, will come from that second heaven of planets to the first heaven, the earth’s atmosphere. This coming will be part of the last-days deception, as was mentioned previously, that the world is being visited by aliens from outer space, come to this world as its saviors. Is that not the age-old dream of Lucifer, to be looked upon as the god who saves this world? That is the lie which the world will believe. The truth is that Jesus saves this world, and God has told us this truth as well as revealed to us Satan’s deception ahead of time “. . . in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes” (2 Cor. 2:11 NIV).

I had intended my science-fiction story to be a warning to the world. For whatever reason, it was never submitted for publication. Nevertheless, the vision remains and it was written down.

“Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness. These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. They say to the seers, ‘See no more visions!’ and to the prophets, ‘Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!’

“Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says: ‘Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly, in an instant. It will break in pieces like pottery, shattered so mercilessly that among its pieces not a fragment will be found for taking coals from a hearth or scooping water out of a cistern.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength,’ but you would have none of it. You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’ Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift! A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill. Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” (Is. 30:8-18 NIV).

Of all the scenes in that story I wrote, the one that lingers in my mind and is still fresh today is that of main character in the story hiding behind the crest of a hill, looking down upon a vast grassy plain where multitudes of flying saucers had landed and were loading their unsuspecting victims into the craft. His heart was heavy with sorrow and compassion for those lost ones who were seeking rescue in the wrong place. But there was nothing he could do. It was too late.

But it is not too late for me to issue a warning to any who might read this. You and I do not live in a fantasy world, a science-fiction story. This life is real–and it ends in death. And after that comes judgment before God (Heb. 9:27). For rescue from the coming catastrophies about to strike this earth, including nuclear war and its attendant aftermath, do not look to the skies for salvation by aliens from another world. That is deception and a lie. The truth is that God has already come down from heaven above in the form of Jesus Christ to save you. You do not have to wait for this salvation to arrive. In fact, if you do wait, it will be too late.

“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down) or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? ‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Rom. 10:6-10 NIV).
