Are you not Evangelizing because you are “not called”?

“‘Not called!’ did you say? ‘Not heard the call,’ I think you should say. Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father’s house and bid their brothers and sisters, and servants and masters not to come there.

Will people be lost because of the stinginess of Christians?

The apostle Paul in Romans 10:13-15 under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes:

For “WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.”

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, WHO BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS!”

Audio Sermons and Resources

This is a rather undeveloped section of the site, but there are plenty of resources which touch on this subject but don’t treat it as if for pastors.

If you are a pastor and wish to share some teaching here, please send to michael at christian-faith.com so it can be considered for publication here. In this way, you can bless and help others with the valuable things you have learned.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Do we Christians believe our own gospel?

When a Muslim enquirer was first told of the Good News of Jesus Christ he asked, ‘How long has this message been around?’

‘About two thousand years,’ replied the messenger.

‘If that is so why haven’t I heard of it before? There must be no Christians in my country.’

‘Yes, there are,’ said his informant.

‘Well then, there are certainly none in this city.’

‘Yes, there are,’ was the reply.

‘How is this possible? The only reason I can think of is that you Christians do not believe your own Gospel.’

– from “Mosques and Miracles” – by Stuart Robinson, Edition 2, page 316.
