Can an Online Church be an Authentic Church?

The Greek word for church is 'ekklesia'. In today's English what this means is a "gathering", an "assembly" or a "town-hall meeting" if citizens. If it is an 'ekklesia' of God or Christ that means it  is a gathering of people who belong to Jesus Christ. Paul said to the Christians at Corinth, "You are not your own, you are bought with a price". (1 Cor. 6:20). So when people who truly belong to Christ gather together, it is is the church.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, A they will grow like cedars of Lebanon; planted in the house of the lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. These verses from Psalm 92 declare that we are, in fact, planted in God’s house. The call and purpose of a Christian is first and foremost to glorify God, and that should be the primary desire on which all our other desires are based.

Pet Parrots or Eagle Christians?

Some church goers have felt more like pet parrots than eagles. As we know, the owners of pet parrots gain great pleasure out of hand-feeding them and showing them to others. As a result of being caged, they are confined in their activities and, because they can't enjoy the natural pleasure of flying, other things are placed in a cage to keep them amused. They are also trained to talk, but can only repeat what their owner teaches them to say.
