Archives for April 2013

A friend put this piece on Facebook and I thought I would share it with everyone. It comes from the book, “Storms of Life”, an easy-reading commentary on the Meaning of Life, written by Don Givens, PhD. and a Foreword by country music star Randy Travis. Here is what it said:

A Long Hard Road to Jesus Christ

I’m 27 years old now and my life has been a big mess until I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. I have seen and been through many terrible things and I felt so alone in the world for a very long time. I couldn’t love or trust anyone. I had a big empty void in my heart and I just couldn’t find a way to fill it. I realize now that God was always with me and I just didn’t know it at the time. If it weren’t for Him, I doubt I would be alive today. One of my favorite passages is Ephesians 6, the armor of God. I struggled with a very severe spiritual battle from an early age.

My End Times Vision

God once gave me a vision of the end times–and I didn’t even know it (at the time)! This is how that happened.

Change Can Be Good

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).

I am back blogging

Hi to everyone this is Tramaine Sealy.
I went under the name bajaniceman but i can’t log back into this account for some reason. I will re-post some of the blogs i wrote and of course new ones

HEBREWS 6:13-20 (KJV)

I will begin with Hebrews 6 verses 13-18 where it talks about the promise that God made to Abraham. He sealed this promise with two immutable things “in which [it was] impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18).” In other words, God’s promise would come to pass. If He said it, it was as good as done.

13) For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

14) Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Enduring hardship for the Glory of God

I grew up as an only child in a very dysfunctional home. My father was mentally ill and drank to medicate himself. He beat my mother. My mother was obese and a gambling addict. They divorced when I was 4. As a teen and 20 something I turned to alcohol for fun and as a way to escape from the problems in my life – funny, I didn’t consider the heavy drinking a problem. I got involved in the occult and ran with the wrong crowd. I had been to church as a child and heard about Jesus but never really understood anything other than the main fact that Jesus could get me to Heaven.

Overcoming Demonic Spirits and Spiritual Attacks

The foundation for victory over every work of the devil is having a firm understanding of our relationship with Jesus and our position in Him.

Three Reasons Why the World Must End

Three Reasons Why the World Must End

A disturbing observation haunts me nearly every day: Most people seem to think that this world will never end, that they will be able to continue to go on with their lives as usual forever–this in spite of the many signs to the contrary, including that most common of all contradicters, death. Everybody dies and yet that fact is buried beneath the mind’s refusal to contemplate it, for that would mean the end of one’s world as it is presently known. It is the old human frailty of ignoring unpleasant thoughts and facts when they threaten what we want.
