Hi friends, My name is vinay. I am from bangalore, india. Currently iam going through a rough patch in my life. Its such a wonder that we remember our Almighty God, in an instant, only when pain strikes us. Same is the case with me. I came to God, when i was in trouble, prayed and rejoiced in HIM when HE solved my problems and again fell back because of the worldly trials and temptations.
According to this woman, introduced only as "C.J." only those who make a true 100% commitment to Jesus Christ will enter heaven. All others will go to hell. For years she tried to meet God by raising the hand, praying the prayer after the preacher, but while idols remained in her heart, God was not willing to come.
"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus."
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
I don't think there is any controversy here – all Christian churches would believe that giving
thanks to God is a good thing.
I am challenged by the standard the Bible gives for Christian living. To come close to this standard, or to attain it, requires a changed heart and an ongoing renewal of the mind. A person who does not know God cannot sustain these kinds of attitudes and practices in their life. When one is born again of the Spirit of God the foundation is put in place to begin to live a life according to these commands and exhortations from the Scripture.
1. In everything GIVE thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Whether all these quotes are true or not, I cannot say for sure. Some God-haters today will deny that such things were ever said. I am not a personal witness to them, but none of them would surprise me. Don't wait until YOU are in the place these people were before you decide to believe in a Holy God who requires that you humbly accept His terms of salvation.
