Warnings to Those who will not Warn or Help the Perishing

Folks, it seems to me that at least 97% of the world’s population is spiritually dead, and is perishing. Even amongst God’s people many are perishing for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Now God says to warn them, using the appropriate technologies. Here are God’s warnings to YOU, the servant of God, if you fail to do this.

“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet [the appropriate technology for being heard] and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes away ANY person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, BUT HIS BLOOD I WILL REQUIRE AT THE WATCHMAN’S HAND.” (Ezekiel 33:6)

The trumpet is ancient technology, and we need to use technology as well as person to person contact to warn people, because today people take most of their ideas from things coming from the mass media.

When God says he requires the blood of another at your hand, it means that you are responsible, and your actions could be compared to those of a murderer. We are talking about a SIN OF OMMISSION that is comparable to MURDER, which is a sin of commission. Both kinds of sins result in other people going to hell.

“Deliver those who are drawn towards death [sinners],
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’
Does not He who weights the hearts consider it?
He who keeps YOUR soul, does He not know it,
And will He not RENDER to each man according to his deeds?”
(Proverbs 24:11,12)

New Testament confirmation of these ideas can be seen in the words of Paul to the unbelieving Jews he faithfully preached to, who rejected his message:

“But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook his garments and said to them. ‘Your blood be upon your own heads. I AM CLEAN. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.” (Acts 18:6)

“Therefore I testify to you this day that I AM INNOCENT OF THE BLOOD OF ALL MEN. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God”. (Acts 20:26,27)

If you are NOT innocent of the blood of men, it means you ARE guilty of the blood of some of them, and it is as if you are a murderer. Just because this sin is common amongst Christians, does not make it right. “Indeed, let God be true, but every man a liar”. (Romans 3:4)

Paul said, “Woe unto ME if I do not preach the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16). Your great ministry and your great knowledge will not excuse you if you neglect this area. Do not tell me that this was written only to evangelists. It is written to all followers of Christ. Evangelists are there just to set the example in these things, and help people be more effective in doing it.

If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ YOU are commanded by the authority of God Himself to do all those things that Christ commands disciples in the gospels (Matthew 28:19,20). Do not hide behind the idea that you are not an evangelist or an apostle. You belong to Christ, and that is enough.

We are murdering the souls of millions by our stubborn insistence on putting our time and money into our own comforts and NOT into the rescuing of perishing souls. If this seems doubtful to you now, eternity will certainly reveal it to you in brutal clarity. The Bible requires us to “love our neighbour as ourselves”. If you won’t warn them of their rapidly approaching doom, what kind of love is that?

Jesus commanded us to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Clearly WE and not God are responsible for the consequences that ensue from failing to obey this vital word of the one we say is our Lord and Savior.
