The truth of God has set me free

Hello everyone!

I am here to report today that those whom the Son has set free are free indeed.

I will not go into details, but yesterday it was confirmed to me that I based my entire life off of a lie.

A lie.

I cannot tell you what freedom the truth brought. Since I’ve given my life to Christ I have been attacked repeatedly by the enemy. Well, saints those attacks have stopped.

Here is some verses that really demonstate some of the principles that was used to help me.

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.” Matthew 5:23-24

Don’t be afraid to talk to people. If someone has offended you, even if it was years ago, go back to that person and talk with them. The greatest lie that Satan will tell you is that you are all alone and you can’t talk to people. He will also tell you that other christians aren’t to be trusted. Here I was wondering why my prayers didn’t seem to be affective.

Resentment will hold you back as will having an unforgiving spirit. You may think that you have forgiven someone, but in reality you may still be holding a grudge. Ask God to reveal it to you, and another thing, when God tells you to do something, do it. No matter how hard that it may appear to be or impossible. You will never have any peace when you know you are living outside the will of the Lord.

Another thing that held me back for years was that I believed Satan’s deception. When I say years, I mean years, maybe my entire life. It is important to note here that the circumstances felt truth. It appeared to be the truth. Even the evidence suggested that it was truth, and of course, I believed it was. But it wasn’t. It was a complete fabrication.

Never base anything on how you feel or on what things look like. Only base what you believe about God and what your believe about yourself on the bible. Call this disbelief, it is being more willing to believe what devil, the world, and your feelings say about you, then what God says.

It is basically calling God a liar. I wondered why my prayers weren’t effective, well how could they be? I didn’t even believe what God said in His word, so how could I believe that He’d be able to help me?

Maybe I will go into further detail in another blog, but these things have helped me tremendously. No, I am not under the delusion that the devil will suddenly leave me alone. I know that we are still in a spiritual battle. That is why it is so important to be fully armoured, and for the longest time I was slack in that regard.
