The Tail Wagging the Dog

LOS ANGELES — NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has landed robotic explorers on the surface of Mars, sent probes to outer planets and operates a worldwide network of antennas that communicates with interplanetary spacecraft.

Its latest mission is defending itself in a workplace lawsuit filed by a former computer specialist who claims he was demoted – and then let go – for promoting his views on intelligent design, the belief that a higher power must have had a hand in creation because life is too complex to have developed through evolution alone.

Quote from one of Darwin's letters.

A young admirer asked Darwin about his religious views (the original inquiry is lost), and the great naturalist answered: "It is impossible to answer your question briefly; and I am not sure that I could do so, even if I wrote at some length. But I may say that the impossibility of conceiving that this grand and wondrous universe, with our conscious selves, arose through chance, seems to me the chief argument for the existence of God; but whether this is an argument of real value, I have never been able to decide."

87 years after what was billed as "The Scopes Monkey Trial" "The Trial of the Century" with William Jennings Bryan, for the Prosecution, and Clarence Darrow for the Defence, We are sort of revisiting the scene of the Trial, but the difference being, in as short a time as 87 years, things have turned 180 degrees, to where the person on Trial this time, holds the Christian viewpoint of Creation, or in other words "Intelligent Design" and the held belief of the time NOW, is Darwin's Theory of Evolution "Origin of the Species"

Look at how far we have come, how far Society has advanced, to where "Wrong is now Right", "What was immoral, is now acceptable" we have what could also be called a "Re-defining of the Species", because of the Homosexual Legislation on Marriage. "The times, they are a changing".
I am old enough to remember, trials, regarding these Civil Rights cases, included among them were.

1) Civil Rights
2) Freedom of speech
3) Freedom of Choice
4) Freedom of assembly (Chicago 8.)
5) Homosexual marriage

These are just a few, but they are sufficient to make the point.

The Point being, An organization called "The ACLU" American Civil Liberties Union, has been involved, in every single one of these cases, which went all the way to the Supreme Court, arguing on the side of the Plaintiff, for the rights of the Plaintiff, but the strange thing with this case is, "THE ACLU IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN"

I guess it is a sign of the times.
