The Gift of Jesus

Jesus said, “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). There’s something in the account of the birth of Jesus that if you get a hold of the abundant life he came to give you will be yours. When God gave us Jesus He supplied us with everything we would ever need. Notice what the scriptures say, “Blessed be the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Eph. 1:3) also “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness” (2Peter 1:3). And all the promises of God are in him (1Cor. 1:20). God has already given and now it’s up to you to receive. Like in the parable of The Prodigal Son when his brother heard of his father having a party for his brother coming home and he had been there working and the father didn’t give him a kid for him to have a party with his friends the father told him all that he had was his. Notice even though it was his he went without because the son did not know how to receive. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God(John 1:12) and as a son of God all that He has is yours.

The story of Jesus birth is interesting because it shows you how to receive all the promises of God. I know people like to put everything on God, but you have a part to play in receiving the promises of God. There’s a spiritual exchange that has to take place. Notice in 1Corinthians 1:20 All the promises of God are in him(Jesus) yea and amen. God has already said yes and amen to his promises and now He needs your agreement. What does amen mean, so be it. So when the angel explained to Mary how she was going to have a baby and she said “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word” she was saying amen. Then the angel departed, why? Because she sealed the deal with her amen. The spiritual exchange took place, God had her agreement.

Now watch this, Jesus was before all things(Col. 1:16,17), but he was spiritual. He was spiritual before he was physical. What did God choose to get Jesus which was spiritual to become physical? Words. God used the mouths of men and a virgin girl to speak his word to get his will in the earth. You have to know how to speak and what to speak to get God’s will in your life. Because it’s the word you believe and speak that you will have (Mark 11:23). In Luke 1:45 Mary’s cousin Elizabeth said “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Well, we know she didn’t just believe she also spoke. You see the word of God is suppose to produce for you. Any word from God that you believe and speak is suppose to do just what Jesus did, turn from words to physical. Notice he’s the word made flesh (John 1:14).

Jesus said “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” So when Jesus hung on the cross and said “It is finished” what he came to do was complete. That’s why all the promises of God are in him so without him there wouldn’t be any promises. He was born to be our sacrifice. Galatians 3:13 says he was made a curse for us so that we could receive the blessing of Abraham. Through him we can receive the free gift of righteousness and an abundance of grace (Romans 5:17). Now it’s time to manifest Jesus finished work. The abundant life is to be manifested. 1John 1:1,2 says For that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands handled, of the word of life. (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;). Notice Jesus was manifested, you and I were born, but Jesus was not just born he was manifested. Understand Mary didn’t just bring forth a son, but a physical manifestation of the word. Mary had Jesus(the word made flesh) because it’s the word that you speak from your heart that you will bring forth. The word has to be in you so you can speak it forth out of you. Physically a woman brings forth from her womb, but spiritually you bring forth by your mouth. Jesus came out of her mouth before he came out of her womb.

Jesus represents the word. Whatever Jesus did the word will do if you believe it and speak it. That’s why Romans 10:6-8 says you don’t have to call Jesus up from the grave or call him down from heaven because the word is near you even in your mouth and in your heart that is the word of faith. Notice it has to be in your mouth and in your heart. Jesus said in Mark 9:23 “All things are possible to him that believe.” Now what should you be believing, the word. And according to 2Corinthians 4:13 when you believe you speak. Anything you believe and speak from the word is possible. No more impossibilities so that healing you need is possible. That deliverance you need is possible. Whatever you need from God is possible. But it starts with putting the word in your heart and speaking it out. For the word to become physical it has to be spoken.

After some of them “went back and walked with Him no more” (John 6:66), Jesus turned to His inner circle, and asked “Do you also want to go away ?” (v. 67).Peter got it right when he responded, “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (v.68).
Whatever you face today, be encouraged by the words of Peter. As long as you are running in the right direction—-to Jesus—-you’ll find the grace and strength you will need. —Joe Stowell

People of God, we are one family and must respect each other. If we as believers do not understand each other, then how can we expect such understanding from people outside this family ? Let us accept each other as Jesus has accepted us.Let the new members who join this site find Love & Warmth of Christ dwelling in our hearts.
I ask forgiveness from each and everyone whom i’ve hurt.Thank you for your patience.

There are times that our discussions get heated, and we start hurling hurtful comments on each other. This apology is for those times when participating in discussion if i have hurt anyone. This message is for all my brothers & sisters in Christ..

        In good cheer

Do not be dismayed by Shants’ apology and asking for forgiveness.

For that which she has done, IS A VERY RIGHTEOUS THING.

A Physician healing themself of having a poor bedside manner, can only improve their ability to heal their patients.

A Physician should first a foremost “DO NO HARM” and reassure their Patient, not verbally abuse them.

God Bless Shanta and Greg in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A-Men.

There was a man named Jim.He used to visit the church everyday from 12.00pm to 12.01pm.He will just pray for 1 minute and leave. The priest observed this routine and one day he asked Jim “What do you pray in 1 minute ?” Jim answered “I tell the Lord – Lord, Jim came to meet you”.
One day this man met with an accident & was hospitalized. Now, in this hospital everyday there was chaos.Doctors, nurses and patients use to quarrel with each other. When Jim was admitted, there was no quarrel, everybody could feel a change. One of the nurses observed that from the time Jim was admitted we could feel the peace. So all of them wanted to thank Jim and surprise him with bouquet of flowers. When they thanked him, Jim said “Don’t thank me, Thank the Lord. For when i came here, He said “Jim, I have come to meet you”.

Wherever we go, the peace of Jesus should come with us”. Amen.

I was Thankful to the Lord that you where inspired to share your “Small Story”.

When I read the story [in my mind only] I could relate to it and understand it.

I am leading a visually inpaired friend who’s name is Paul in Bible study and ministering to him the Ways of The Lord. I often read articles posted on this site to him because the text size is difficult for him to read.

When I read [telling the story out loud] the story to him, by the time I was near to the end of telling it I was weeping. In utterance, the emotion of the story was brought to life.

Thank you Lord for Shanta sharing this beautiful story with us.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus, Christopher John Petersen.

        Dear Chris,
I heard this touching story from my child’s caretaker who had been for a 1 day retreat on last Saturday.I just wanted to share it with all of you.
        In Jesus’s name, be Blessed.

  5. You have very good insight.

  6. The Word
Jesus said that if we have the faith as small as a mustard seed then we will be able to speak to the mountain and it will move, Jesus also spoke to the fig tree, He also spoke to the sea and the wind, He spoke to sickness and disease, He spoke to demons too. He also said that we are to do all these things and more. So we know from everything that Jesus did that the spoken word is very powerful especially when mixed with faith. God the Father created the universe through the spoken word, the word creates and yes just like the above post Jesus who was the word was created by the word. Speak good things over your lives and the lives of others. By reading the Bible we know God’s will, so do not be afraid of prophesying good things over your lives and other peoples lives. I am known in my church for speaking good things that come to pass but i am no different from you but i am special because my Father says so, all God’s children are special to Him so you also are special because your Father says so, He treats us just as if we are the only person that matters. Pray for smaller things and then when we see the fruit of these things come to pass then start to pray for the larger things as your faith builds. Pray means talk, just talk to God, most of my prayers that are answered i have just been lying bed rambling away to God (telling Him my heart desires) or just walking around the house, or just walking down the street. The more we talk (pray) the more that we receive. The word creates. Without us knowing it God’s puts the words in our hearts and mouths before we even speak them, i have a had few prayers answered that were answered before i had even spoke them and then later i have found that the result had already taken place before the time of the prayer. The secret is talking, ask, seek and knock.

John 13:19 “Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.”

Matt 21:22 “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

John 15:7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

John 16:23-24 “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?”

      • lol Thanks Chris – I have a child like Faith (as it should be) i teach the youth at our church (building) and the Good Lord has given me an ability to put things in simple lamen terms that people especially unsaved people can understand.

We can Rant a thousand words to someone and they NOT RECEIVE US, neither our words [and gain a FOE] for we have befoed them.
Or we can Say just a few [maybe 5 let’s say] APPROPRIATE words [ones they can accept and understand] and in so doing melt the hardest of Hearts [and gain a FRIEND] for we have befriended them.

If as a parent, we give our child everything their Heart desires that they ASK us for.
Are we spoiling them [doing the wrong thing]?
Or in Blessing them [doing the right thing]?
Why is a Penitent [respectful] child worthy of receiving their parent’s Blessings?
Why is a Petulant [disrespectful] child worthy of not receiving their parent’s Blessings?
Maybe it is JUST, that a child that has their parents wrapped around their little finger KNOWS something that other children don’t?

            God Bless you Shaun.

          • Holyroller_11 says:

why would you quote from a man who was not a christian on a christian site, quote Jesus instead,he is wiser

          • Chris Petersen says:

Matthew 7:1-5 “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

John 14:10 “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”

In [John 14:10 cited above] it clearly states that; that which Jesus spake ARE NOT HIS WORDS but rather GOD’S WORDS. So if we where to “quote Jesus’ words only” we would then be restricted to quoting Jesus’ Prayers to God in Heaven and most of that He did in private. Saving for “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do”.

            God Bless you Joseph,

            Christopher John Petersen.

I’m not a judge, but I am a fruit inspector,in these last days all types of doctrines are here,if you do your homework on socrotes, you will find not the gospel of Jesus. The problem is today’s religion doesn’t always build faith in Jesus, and without that we have nothing. I mean you no disrespect,I just want Jesus lifted up,then he will draw all men, people are quick to use the judge word, its about like the race card, its overdone, we are to use christian common sense,or we will be deceived, thats part of christian problems now, afraid to call something wrong, thinking someone will say judge, but I will call it as it is,regardless ,if its wrong ,its wrong!! be blessed

My first reply to Shaun contained 3 words of encouragement from me “Thou doest Well” and A PAGE of words of support from GOD [minimal words from me]. That which I “freely received” to give Shaun, I “freely gave” to Shaun. However, Shaun replied by PAYING TRIBUTE [thanking me, by tradition/habit] to the WRONG PERSON. This presented me with a serious problem! How can I correct his error in a public forum without embarrassing him by giving him a dressing down [removing the bad habit]?

            My questions are;
If a Physician uses unconventional means [going off topic] in order to heal an affliction or offence, is that wrong?
Is it not usual to distract the patient [change the subject] and then ADD-MINISTER the cure [say a Prayer for them]?

Okay, so it took 2 Prayers to cure Shaun [written Prayers, without being evoked (spoken) are a little less effective]. Did not the “UNSINKABLE” RMS Titanic meet with disaster? Did the lack of tradition, or the LACK OF ASKING GOD TO BLESS IT seal it’s fate [a fatal mistake]?

God Bless the Body of Christ and all who Abide in Him. A-Men.
