As I travel around the world preaching the gospel in numerous churches and cities, time and time again I see first-hand the searing pain felt by people with unfulfilled dreams. Some have heard of our exploits in the mission field to which we have devoted our lives and it convicts them in their hearts.
Tear-filled eyes gaze at me after services as these people bare their hearts to me, confessing that God called them to reach the nations years ago. “I wish I had gone,” they sigh.
The Bible declares that God raised up Saul to be the King of Israel. When Saul later rebelled and sinned against God, God rejected him and transferred his favor to David. David was a mere shepherd boy, yet God took him and made him ruler over Israel. The former shepherd boy was now established as king.

Mary Magdalene came to the tomb looking for the dead body of Jesus to preserve it with carefully prepared spices and perfumes (Luke 23:55,56). This is what the majority of the so-called Christian churches are doing today – preserving the name of Jesus with their carefully prepared methods and messages rather than proclaiming the risen Lord and the hope of eternal life we receive through him.
When men feel that the day of their death is far off, they find it easy to adamantly maintain that there is no God. They may indulge in all kinds of sophistry in order to promote their unbelief. But its very interesting to know what some famous skeptics have said on their deathbed, just before dying. I have found some quotes, and thought to share them with you here.
There are reasons why people don’t receive divine healing. We don’t always know which one applies in every case, but this teaching is given with the hope that such objections will be removed.
