No Place for Evil

No Place for Evil

The concept of place holds an important place itself in the created order of things, especially in the kingdom of God. Just how important can be seen in Jesus’ reply to the request of James and John to have a place on each side of his throne: “To sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared” (Mk. 10:40 NIV). Even the Son of God cannot alter certain things about certain places, such is the nature of those places.

Are You Lukewarm?

In a previous blog, I likened the kind of relationship God wants to have with each of us to that of a couple just starting their relationship. However, we so often become complacent as the relationship continues. Other things occupy our mind and time, and though we don’t care less for the other person, we do not give the relationship the time we once did. We take for granted our partner knows we care. Today’s divorce rate testifies to the grave error in this way of thinking. Even if you are at this point in your relationship and still surviving, don’t you miss that spark?

Effects of Preaching the Gospel

The doctors say that perfect eyesight is 20/20 – vision.
When I read Acts 20:20 one day it brought a vision that changed my life. From that day I have followed the 20/20 vision!

The Mustard Seed and the Pearl of Great Price

Matthew 13:31-32
‘Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, “which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

Think Like God, Act like God – part 2

As you establish your life with God in prayer and meditate upon His Word, you spirit will start to come alive, or be quickened to God’s Word. As you go about your day, His Word will come to your mind as you encounter different situations. I use these opportunities to pray the Word. In this way we become aligned with God and we start to think like God and talk like God.

Romans 8:1 – God Life versus Sinful Flesh Life

I would like to make some observations about a very important passage of the Bible, the eighth chapter of Romans. Its really important that we get the meaning of this passage right in our minds, because if you have a wrong view of it, it could destroy you eternally. I’ll come out right away and […]

Should Christians Keep The Sabbath?

This is the heart of the matter in our relationship with God, should Christians Keep The Sabbath? Did God make the Seventh-Day for all mankind?

Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is “Lord even of the Sabbath day” as the Creator. Jesus said,“For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.” Matthew 12:8. By identifying Himself as “Lord even of the Sabbath day,” Jesus was showing that He was the One who originally created Earth in six days, and rested on the seventh day. And the New Testament makes clear that Jesus is the Creator…

How to Enter the Kingdom of Heaven

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. ”

This verse should be of overriding importance to all of us.

God sees Christians as having been perfected if they are being sanctified!

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

This Scripture refers to a great mystery. It relates to what Jesus Christ of Nazareth achieved by dying on the cross. This is the “one offering” spoken of here.

The Scriptures give many “past tense” declarations concerning things which until now have not been manifested. We don’t see Christians behaving pefectly, walking with God perfectly. And yet, there is a sense in which we are acceptable to God as if we were perfect AS LONG AS WE ARE BEING SANCTIFIED.
