This is the second chapter of our eBook
on Prayer Pastoring. The first chapter dealt with step one praying
for mercy. We often have judgements against us that halt our prayers
for ourselves therefore we need God’s mercy. Without mercy our
prayers are hindered. We often mistake opposition as coming from
spiritual warfare but many times it is coming from God himself and we
are reaping what we have sown. This opposition is the judgement of
God. Chapter one explains this process.
Many claim to believe in Jesus or to be Christians.
Yet many times people believe in a Jesus of personal or popular imagination.
The real Jesus – the one who died and rose again historically and actually lives
today, is the Jesus revealed in the pages of the Bible. Any other Jesus is a
false one. The Bible declares, “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and
forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).
Which Way Lord? – Chapter 13 – Dr Chandrakumar
The Battle Is His, Victory Is Mine
Victory is your inheritance, if you are born again, and belong to the kingdom of God by receiving Christ in your life. First, desire your victory, await readily anticipating it to come on your way and then claim it through the word of God, “You give me your shield of victory and your right hand sustains me…” (Ps. 18:35). Jesus said, “…Take courage, I have overcome the world.” (Jn. 16:33).
Our victory is solely based on Christ’s Victory on the cross.
How To Know God’s Call For Ministry
1. Call To Live A Holy Life
First of all we are called to live a holy life.
Unless we practice the Lordship of Christ in all the areas of our lives, it is difficult to find the will of God in our lives and for our lives.
Mans greatest honour and privilege is to do the will of God. This was what the Lord Jesus taught his disciples. He once said, that only those who did his Fathers will, would enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 7:21).
He also said that true brothers and sisters were those who do the will of God (Matt. 12:50).
I wonder how neatly the story of Acts chapter 10 and 11 fits into your theology. In much traditional protestant theology, especially amongst the followers of Calvin, there is a strong belief if the "total depravity" of those who are not regenerate by means of the gospel. The idea here is that nothing an unregenerate person thinks or does is actually clean or righteous. There are also those in various traditions who believe that without water baptism, a person is not born again.

CHARACTER CONFESSION
James 1:19 let every man
be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath, for the Wrath of man does not
produce the righteousness of God
James 1:5 If any of you
lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally And without reproach,
and it will be given to him.
