Origins of the Pentecostal Movement

The pentecostal movement had its origins in believers who were intensely desiring more of God
in the late 19th century. People were getting interested in world evangelization and realized
that they needed the original power of the Holy Spirit to do this. They sought God and prayed.
Many Methodists and Salvation Army people were among those who were most hungry for God, and
embraced the move of the Holy Spirit.

Seven Steps for Renewal

Dr. Richard Foster, founder of “Renovare”, an international, spiritual, renewal movement and author of Celebration of Discipline, says the twenty-first century will witness one of the greatest harvests of Christian missions ever.

Foster outlines seven steps towards renewal:

1. Let’s become intentionally Godward in our orientation. Not self-oriented, not success-oriented, not church-oriented, not seeker-oriented, but God-oriented.

2. Let’s stop using a marketing approach to church life.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit – John Iuliano

We believe in the present day operation of the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in 1 Cor
12. We also believe in the ministry gifts of Christ, as recorded in Eph 4:11-13.

Introduction

The Passage the Devil wanted out of your Bible

There are plenty of Bible-believing evangelicals and fundamentalists who say they believe the Word of God, but sadly you’ll not find nearly as many who believe the words of Mark 16:15-20. Some people stop at verse 15 in their believing, some at verse 16 but if it really is the Word of God, God wants us to believe it all, right up to the end of verse 20.

Objections to Divine Healing Answered

The failure of many to receive divine healing over the years have given rise to a whole slew of traditional explanations for why we should not really expect divine healing to happen today. These objections are answered in this article.

Introduction
It is amazing how difficult some jobs are without the proper tools. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to cut a piece of timber if you didn’t have a saw? Spiritual gifts are the tools that God has given us to enable us to be more effective in accomplishing the task of working with Him to build His church.

Revival in China – Old report from Dennis Balcombe

Revival in China

Dennis Balcombe

Dennis Balcombe is senior pastor of Revival Christian Church in Hong Kong and regularly ministers in China.

Where can we find a revival?

A real Christian would naturally be very interested in revival and awakening. In recent years, certain streams have begun in the Body of Christ which have had considerable influence in a short time. One thing is clear, intelligence alone is no defense against deception – no matter who is right. My personal view is that we should major on majors, and minor on minors.

Books and References on Spiritual Warfare

Not everything relevant to the subject of deliverance and spiritual warfare is included on a site such as this. In my view some deliverance ministries are unbalanced and make extreme statements which are not totally true. The truth is extreme enough anyway without making universal statements with no clear foundation in Scripture. Anyway, here are the titles of some books and authors I can recommend on the subject of deliverance.
