With the massive publicicty surrounding the failed prediction of Harold Camping, atheists and other skeptics have had mock celebrations concerning the Rapture and so on.
As expected by all Christians who take the words of Jesus seriously, the Rapture did not happen as Harold Camping predicted on May 21.
Its amazing how people can ignore the clear teaching of Scripture

There is plenty of evidence that the spirit of harlotry has gained a strong foothold and in some cases virtually taken over many of the leading denominations in the western world today, including sadly, many pentecostal/charismatic churches. This is tragic because the pentecostal church was entrusted with tremendous understanding of the plan of God for the believer’s life.
Back in 1986 I developed some interest in end-time events. What I have noticed over the years is that we can always construct an interesting theory that suggests that Jesus is coming back next year, or Real Soon Now. Six day theories, pre-trib rapture theories are modified from year to year by self-appointed “prophets” and others who find the whole thing so fascinating.
I have read _highly plausible_ and interesting theories interpreting Daniel, Revelation and other Scriptures – the only trouble is they contradict each other in many points.
"Then the seventh angel sounded [the trumpet]: And there were loud
voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms
of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

I was born in a large Christian family. Ever since I know my father he has always been a Minister of the gospel. He is also the founder of a church in the community where we lived.
Being the youngest of twelve children, it was only natural that I attended church on a regular basis.
I accepted the Lord as my personal Saviour at an early age. Actually this was during my early years at High School.
