Training Believers to Do the Healing Ministry
Shows the Scriptural promises and expectations of Christ relating to this ministry and answers the objections Christians have to the idea of training believers to do the ministry of divine healing.

WE BELIEVE the Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the First-born which are written in heaven – (Eph 1:22,23; 2:22; Heb 12:23).
Introduction.
The average person’s response to the word ‘church’, is steeples, stained glass windows, and a huge pipe organ.

HARVEST
John 4: 35: ‘Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for
harvest!”
LIFTING UP THE NAME OF JESUS
John 12: 32 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
OUR MANDATE FROM JESUS CHRIST
1.
There is coming a day soon when I will give an account of my life to Jesus Christ. This day is coming for you also. Paul, writing to believers in Rome, said,
“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God”.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against
spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
Real Christians are involved in a spiritual conflict. This is a fight in which guns and tanks are of no use. Paul said, “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood”. The conflict is not with people, or nations, but with Satan and his demons. We need to recognise that many times when people oppose us, the reason behind it is spiritual.
In the evangelical/pentecostal churches there are actually two different versions of gospel being presented by people who would claim they take the Word of God as their authority in faith and practice. I want to draw your attention to the fundamental issue in question here, because it has to do with your ETERNAL SALVATION.
It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. Ps 18.32
The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Ps 29.11
In quietness and confidence shall be my strength. Is 30.15
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6.10
I have put on the complete armour of God. Eph 6.11
God gives power to the weak. And to those who have no might, He increases strength. Is 40.29
I shall renew my strength. I shall receive God’s strength as I wait upon Him. I shall mount up with wings like eagles.
I have received power now that the Holy Spirit has come upon me, and I shall be a witness of Christ. Acts 1.8
I wait on God until I am clothed with power from on high. Lk 24.49
Power belongs to God. Ps 62.11
The power of the Holy Spirit is not my own power. Acts 3.12
My speech and my preaching are not with the persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that our faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1Cor 2.4 2.5
The message of the cross is the power of God to us who are being saved.
