Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind
A common accusation leveled against God and the Christian faith is that a loving God would not send people to hell. God replies in Zechariah:

The quest of a person’s life defines that person, who he or she is. And every human being is on a quest whether they know it or not. This is because God has made us this way. He has put into our hearts a dissatisfaction with life lived solely of ourselves, and we will not be rid of this dissatisfaction until we find him as the true source and purpose of our lives.
“He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (Eccl. 3:11 NIV).
One of the sad parts of having worked with youth for many years in the church is having seen some who were enthusiastic and truly on fire for the Lord while in the youth group, then, after growing up and leaving home, also leave the church and the faith. As long as they had the support and encouragement of other Christians while in the youth group, they truly lived for the Lord. But after leaving home and being on their own, they wanted exactly that, to be on their own, apart from the church and God.
Some of the deepest questions we have about the mysteries of life, reality, and the destinies of men are answered in Scripture in just a few simple words. That is the power of God’s Word, that it can take the most profound mysteries and make them plain to us. One of these great mysteries is why the lost are lost. One verse in Scripture is all it takes to answer this deep question–but it might not be the verse nor the answer you expect.
If we ask the deep question, “Why do the lost perish?” we have this simply stated, two-part answer from a single verse in Scripture:
Calvinism is a system of theology popularized by the French Reformer Jean Calvin. It is also popularly known as "Reformed Theology". In Calvinism, the ultimate eternal destination of all people was predetermined by God before the world was made, on the basis of God's own sovereign choice ALONE. Calvinism is a deterministic system in which it is believed that everything that happens was foreordained and engineered by God – even our repentance, our faith responses, our choices.
