Here are some of the questions which Lee B. Baker, a former mormon bishop, asked the leader of the mormon church. He didn’t get an answer though he sincerely desired a resolution which would enable him to stay within the Mormon church. Here then are his questions, in summary form:
God said that in the last days there would be perilous times. God’s Word is full of warnings, as well as promises. There are two sides to God. One is His great love for you, and the other is His severity. He warns you there will be consequences for certain kinds of things. Satan’s deceptions try to convince you that God is lying on both counts. Its wiser to trust God.
We like to believe in our christian heroes, especially those who seem to be so much more anointed than your average Christian. But with greater exposure comes greater accountability. The ability to raise funds and buy lots of TV time does not constitute God’s endorsement. If raising money was proof of God’s favour, then the Roman Catholics, the Mormons and the various gurus like Sathya Sai Baba would clearly have God’s favour even more than the most “anointed” televangelist.
