The Plumb Line of God

The Plumb Line of God There is a dangerous yet common misconception about God that is all too prevalent in the world and even some churches. It is a perception of God as one who is so kind and gentle and loving as to be weak and wishy-washy; that he would never judge a person […]

Prayer Pastoring – Chapter 3 – Righteousness

Chapter three Righteousness   In our first two chapters of prayer pastor-ing we talked about praying mercy and grace over peoples live now our third step is praying righteousness.   Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.   The kingdom […]

Prayer Pastoring – Chapter 2 – Grace

This is the second chapter of our eBook
on Prayer Pastoring. The first chapter dealt with step one praying
for mercy. We often have judgements against us that halt our prayers
for ourselves therefore we need God’s mercy. Without mercy our
prayers are hindered. We often mistake opposition as coming from
spiritual warfare but many times it is coming from God himself and we
are reaping what we have sown. This opposition is the judgement of
God. Chapter one explains this process.

The Anointing with Oil – Marlies Zechner

5/ The Anointing of Oil

Exodus 29:6

Put the turban on him and tie on it the sacred sign of dedication engraved ‘Dedicated to the LORD’. 7/ Then take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.

We do not live under the Law of Moses any more, yet while praying for somebody who was under heavy demonic oppression God told me to, ‘anoint her with oil and dedicate her and consecrate her to God and declare her holy.‘ I have never forgotten the incident and I don’t remember God ever telling me to pray for somebody else like that again.

Thermometer or Thermostat?

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue!” (Prov. 18:21)

Christ Coming in the Flesh

Introduction

The Greek word used for flesh is sarx where as the word soma is used for body.

Humanly speaking there seems to be no difference between the flesh and the body. But the only wise God has made the difference in the Scripture which we are about to study.

Evidences for the  Humanity of Christ

On Interpreting the Bible

Some religious leaders have the idea that only certain people have the right
to read and pray to God in order to understand what God is saying to them through
the Bible. For this reasons in some churches the Bible was kept for centuries
untranslated in the language of the people. In this way religious leaders could
claim to represent Christ and teach the truth without people being able to check
them out. Just as Jesus said to the Pharisees, so we say to such leaders: “Hypocrites!

True Christianity and the Authority of the Bible

Many claim to believe in Jesus or to be Christians.
Yet many times people believe in a Jesus of personal or popular imagination.
The real Jesus – the one who died and rose again historically and actually lives
today, is the Jesus revealed in the pages of the Bible. Any other Jesus is a
false one. The Bible declares, “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and
forever.” (Hebrews 13:8).

What is the Bible?

The Bible is a collection of 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament or Old Covenant, and 27 in the New Testament or New Covenant. We can think of the Old Covenant as being the old contract or the old deal between God and men, while the New Covenant is the new contract or the new deal between God and man. The Old Testament contains the Law of Moses, books of history, books of poetry, books of wisdom, and books of prophecy, many of which are fulfilled today in amazing detail.
