With the massive publicicty surrounding the failed prediction of Harold Camping, atheists and other skeptics have had mock celebrations concerning the Rapture and so on.
Growing up in a Christian family, i was born in faith. I knew how to Love God, to hope for the better, and to place all of my life in the word of our Lord. Like every human being, i grew up. I learned how to pray, how to talk to God , and eventually, how to preach the word to others. I’ve preached about our faithful Savior to most of my friends, and when i saw a glimpse of hope, i would help them to be Christians. I wanted every human being out there; every person; every mother,daughter,father,son,uncle,etc. to feel the Love, and encouragement,i had received all of my life from Christ.

This is my story of how Jesus brought me through my sickness. He lifted me!!! I never knew I really had a serious problem. I started having pain. I was told the pain was from my two Cesareans that I had. The pain got worse and worse. It was unbearable! The pain went on since 1995.
Lord Jesus, you told us to abide in You, and You in us. Otherwise we cannot bear fruit. Apart from you we can do nothing. We thank You that you will abide in us, as we obey your command to love one another. We thank You that through You we will bear much fruit. (John 15:4,5)
Lord, we pray for all those not abiding in You. We pray that they will repent, and not be thrown away as worthless branches. We pray that those in the church will never dry up. We pray they will never be cast into the fire and burned (John 15:6).
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:5,6)
Jesus not only washed us from our sins in His own blood, but He has also lifted us up to two very important offices. The believer has the potential to operate as BOTH a king and a priest to God. One of the fundamental revelations of the Reformation was ‘the priesthood of all believers’ but I believe the Reformers themselves had a very limited idea of what this means.
In previous lessons we have seen the importance of repentance from dead works and of faith. These two elements are the keys to receiving God’s salvation. We have also seen the importance of casting out demons as a key to wholeness in Christ. This lesson builds on these concepts and looks more specifically at the issue of overcoming sin, sanctification and how to live a holy life.
Lord Jesus, you have commanded us and given us grace to love one another as you loved us. As we do this, we will abide in You, and You in us. Otherwise we cannot bear fruit. Apart from you we can do nothing. You have made a way for us. You have poured out your love in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, and we can remain in your love. We thank You that through You we will bear much fruit. (Romans 5:5; John 15:4,5)

Prayer:
Lord, teach me by Your Spirit how to abide in Christ, day by day, hour by hour. Teach me how to retain your words in my heart. Then I will ask what I desire and it shall be done for me.
Confession:
I abide in Christ and I will abide in Christ.
His Words abide in me and will abide in me.
