Salvation for Humanity

In this forum topic, I invite discussions on Salvation for Humanity. There are many religions apart from Christianity is this world. So, what is Salvation (i.e. deliverance, rescue, escape and recovery) to believers of Christ and non- believers? How can Christians attain it and what must others do?

How we as Christians are to preach the Gospel which is the message of Grace and Salvation to people of other faith?

Will mankind be judged by their faith or by their works? Of course, I believe faith must always be accompanied by work. But here, I mean faith in Christ alone (like Christians) or also by following the faith of other religion and their works.

What do YOU think?

  1. my perception: Though God is one, man made many other Gods just to satisfy his sinful nature. The ways of the true God might have been difficult for him to follow. So to satisfy his sinful nature and with his limited knowledge he created many (fake)gods and way of worship. True God didn’t violate the free will of such humans.
salvation and the way to attain is the same for both believers and non-believers, as there is one and only way for salvation. God accepts us through Christ’s righteousness. From The rich man story in bible: The rich man obeyed all the laws of God. Just because of that Christ didn’t tell him that he will have eternal life. He gave him one more command to do. Though that command is not explicitly in the laws, to do that he needs faith. So though he had action he lacked faith. In case of Abraham, he was declared righteous just because of his faith. We should not forget the fact that the faith of abraham in Lord made him ready to sacrifice his own son when God asked to do so. He was ready to sacrifice the one he loves.for me this incident shows Abraham’s self denying character, priority to God,understanding, obeying God. these things comes from faith. so the faith in God voluntarily leads to action that was bible says. so i believe judgement not alone by faith and not alone by action. The faith of other religions are twisted truth of God. If there is any other way then i don’t think the death and resurrection of Christ makes any sense. God wouldn’t have commanded his disciples to spread gospel.
if there are people who never get a chance to know the gospel(like some tribes), i feel that definitely God knows that . Though i don’t know the judging criteria of God in such cases, i simply believe that God is good and just. No one can love more than him , no one can be more holy than him , no one can judge so preciously with righteous like him.

  2. I wonder why God didn’t spread his word further, particularly as those who have never known the joy of chirst are going straight to hell. I think he will let the muslims in because their version is in the same ball park, even if they don’t believe in Jesus, but then neither do the Jews. I’m not sure about mormons but I know scientologists are going straight to hell too.

    • As I see it, God gave PEOPLE the responsibility to do that. Jesus commanded His disciples to do that, and to the extent that we have not done it for the last 2000 years, we have shown that we were not following Him but some other master, like ourselves.

Don’t blame God for what people do.

God gave authority over the earth to Adam and his descendants. That is why God had to come to the earth AS A MAN and why the gospel must be spread by human beings and human beings must pray and invite God into situations generally before God will work here.

You live in England, a place which is very dark spiritually these days. To get more relevant information and evidence for the gospel, you might need to visit a place where people actually believe the message. You’ll find a few in England if you search hard.

      • God could silence atheists and speculation at a stroke. He could do something to show that he is the creator, but he doesn’t, thus allowing war, unrest, lost souls and derision. To me, this glaring lack of anything confirms that he is not there. Some faith has got to be wrong. You can’t all be right.

As for England, we have an archbishop who can’t unite the church on the issue of homosexuality, there is still the issue of women priests that is bubbling under and the whole language of the church is bizarre, reverend, very reverend, right reverend …… As for the costumes that they dress up in! Dark is a good description, There is a lot of tradition that gets in the way of modernisation and churches are being converted into flats or community projects all over the place.

I came across some Born Agains in my distant past and they were lovely people but not my cup of tea.

        • He hides Himself, in such a way that only those who seek Him find, while those who prefer the path of unbelief can also find reasonings to support their viewpoint. If they can’t find any themselves, the devil will be happy to supply a few.

On the other hand, those who diligently seek God find Him. He works miracles. Some testimonies are on my site. They don’t even scratch the surface of what God is doing in our times.

England is a nation which has almost completely forsaken the true God and sadly has been given over to darkness. So many people are glad to leave England if they get the chance. Just because you can find dead religion there does not say anything about God.

Research places where people seek God, and draw your conclusions based on that. For example, look at scoan.org if you dare.

        • Timothy Luke says:
God could silence atheists and speculation at a stroke. He could do something to show that he is the creator, but he doesn’t, thus allowing war, unrest, lost souls and derision. To me, this glaring lack of anything confirms that he is not there.

God could silence at a stroke, and He tells us He shall indeed silence at a stroke. He has told us of a series of events leading up to that stroke, which will be the end of the world as we know it and bring to pass all that you so wonderfully suggest He bring to pass.

When He comes, he will sort you in all your earthy wisdom with the briars to be destroyed, unless you turn and bear fruit. We are here to give the warning before God purges the earth as you suggest and clearly see He needs to do.

We pray you will place your resentments of Him aside and confess your sins to Him and let Him cleanse you and prepare you to stand in that day. When God does come, as He surely will – to silence the atheists and speculators, will you be one of the ones He needs to silence, or will you silence yourself and humble yourself before His coming? He would much rather work with you today than have you perish tomorrow.

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

  3. Timothy Luke says:
Romans 2:11-16 For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

The question you pose is one I do not think even Paul could answer in that he appears to be leaving the answer to the Lord who shall judge the secrets of men. The things we know are that there is no other name given under heaven by which men must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ.

When we follow the faith of other religions, we are following after false gods, who are devils seeking to keep us from salvation. All the worlds religions are set against Christianity. They are set against their Creator God. I think there may be gentiles who have the law of God written on their hearts sovereignly, apart from their religious background and culture, whom the Lord may choose to save in the day of His revealing. To preach that dogmatically I also think would be a mistake. As Paul, I release that to the Lord’s mercy and judgment at His coming.

Interesting topic! I am curious as to other opinions on it.
