Rob Bell and his new book

Today (Mar. 5), the NYT wrote:

“Pastor Stirs Wrath With His Views on Old Questions”
“In a book to be published this month, the pastor, Rob Bell, known for his provocative views and appeal among the young, describes as “misguided and toxic” the dogma that “a select few Christians will spend forever in a peaceful, joyous place called heaven, while the rest of humanity spends forever in torment and punishment in hell with no chance for anything better.”

Due to the controversy in his teaching as well as his upcoming book, Rob Bell seems to continue bringing an avalanche of attention both from the non-Christians and the Christian community. I disagree with his philosophy which some call as “approaching heresy.”. I am till learning the scriptures and don’t want to say much. But, if some of you feel like sharing edifying statements and scriptures it will be enlightening.

In Christ,

  1. mansionamker says:

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Now Truth is AVAILABLE to all MEN but the Scriptures declare that ONE MUST SELL all THEY Have to get UNDERSTANDING. IE: sell all or EMPTY OURSELVES of all THAT WE think WE KNOW or that OUR teachers WHO may or MAY NOT have SEEN or even MET or HEARD from GOD.
