Dare to Win – Introduction – by P.S. Rambabu

It was December 2nd, 2001, and I was speaking at a five day crusade in the Indian city of Bijapur, in northern Karnataka. As I climbed the steps to the stage on the last day, my eyes surveyed the massive crowd filling the ground. My heart was moved with compassion and I felt a tremendous excitement.

As I looked around at all those people, a pastor next to me asked me incredulously how it was that thousands had gathered here. He told me: “Bijapur is well-known as one of the toughest cities in the state of Karnataka, and no preacher has ever managed to get through to the people before. But in the pas five days you’ve preached the gospel to thousands every night. How has this happened? How have you succeeded where others have failed?” As I turned to speak to this pastor, my mind raced back to the early days of my ministry when I first heard about Bijapur. At that time a passionate dream to take the gospel to this city began to grow in my heart. Today I was experiencing the fulfillment of that dream, which God had brought about. I sat down with a sense of awe and a heart full of gratitude to God for the way He had faithfully led me and brought me to where I was today.

At the same time I could sense in that pastor a zeal for God and a hunger to know what it took to have a successful ministry. I could tell that he longed to know whether God wanted this for everyone, and how he could himself unlock the door to spiritual breakthrough. My heart went out to him, and that was the day when the deep desire was born in me to share the key to successful ministry with the Body of Christ. I wanted to tell everybody that it is God’s will that every child of God should be a winner. The culmination of that desire is the book which you now have in your hands.

Winning is an attitude. The Word of God has convinced me that God wants His people to win. If you are born again you are a winner. You are born for the express purpose of winning.

Israel’s greatest sin was that they limited the Holy One of Israel. Limiting the Holy One of Israel will in turn limit His work in our lives. Listen to the Lord saying: “Is there anything too hard for me?” It is time for the church to say “Amen” to that and act accordingly. The same God, who said that all things are possible to Him, has also said: “All things are possible to him who believes.”

In the past we have prayed, “Let God arise”, but now it is time for the church to hear the Lord saying to her, “Let the church arise”!

God is calling His people to action. My great desire is to see every born again christian always walking in victory. This book comes straight from my heart and, since it is based on the Word of God, will work for every child of God.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 2:14: “Now thanks be to God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.” (KJV). Paul was convinced that God wanted him to triumph always and in every place. I am convinced of that too. If you are born again, it is your birthright to win. Your destiny is to win. My prayer is that god will use this book to build His church and bring His people from the “Rut of Routine” and turn “Losers” into champions!

The world says winning isn’t everything, but if you are born again, then winning is the only thing. If you, a child of God, do not win then who will? You might be a born loser, but you are born again to win.

God knows that you are a winner. The devil knows that you are a winner. It is time for you to know that you are a winner!
