Prayers to Receive from God

God is a good God. He wants you to experience that. All you need to do is trust Him. Trust Him enough to listen to Him and go His way.

praying hands

He sent his Son Jesus to die on a cross and pay for your sins. If He did that for you He'd give you any good thing!

God raised Jesus from the dead and now He wants to get involved personally in your life. The only thing you'll lose if you trust in Jesus is that which is evil and will kill you spiritually. I have to tell you though, in case you have not realised it yet, that includes your corrupt self life. Our natural tendencies lead us away from God, we have to put them to death, daily. That is the painful part of following Jesus. To follow Jesus you have to give yourself to God, renounce your right to be lord of your own life, trust God, and turn from evil both inwardly and outwardly. You need to learn the will of God, which is expressed in the teachings of Jesus, and do it. This requires a change of heart, and a serious daily application of yourself to the Word of God.

We were made by God and for God. God made us, and loves us, even though imperfections and faults have come in through the sins of our forefathers. But when we give all we have to God, we can receive all He has. He has even promised us a new body when these few years of earthly life are over. Don't miss out on God's plan for your life!

Prayer to Receive Power through the Holy Spirit

( I encourage you, before praying this prayer, to first study my lesson on The Holy Spirit ).

Dear Jesus, thank you for the most wonderful gift of all – the gift of salvation. Lord, you promised another gift – the gift of the Holy Spirit. I want all you have for me. Baptize me in the Holy Spirit like you did in the days of the Early Church. I consecrate my life to you. I am a believer and you said Lord that believers would speak in unknown languages (tongues). Give me now this gift of tongues. I believe I have now received the power to do what I have asked for. Thank you Jesus!

(Now concentrate on Jesus. Your step of faith here is to open your mouth and make syllables you don't understand. Trust that the Holy Spirit within you will control what you say and make it into a language for prayer and praise! It really happens when you believe enough to act this way.)

Prayer to Receive Deliverance from Demonic Oppression

Jesus, I come to you as my deliverer. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for me and rose again. I confess You as Lord and renounce all influences of Satan in my life. Lord, you know the demons that oppress me, that harrass me, that entice me, that enslave me. I confess all my sins to you. (You must name them out loud before God). I repent of (turn away from) all my sins. I renounce any form of the occult or idolatry in my life or in the life of my ancestors (Name them to the extent of your knowledge of it). I forgive anyone who has ever hurt me in any way and I let go of any bitterness or resentment. (Name any such people whom you associate with personal pain and forgive them by name). I believe I am saved by the blood of Jesus and Satan has no further legal rights to my spirit, soul, mind or body. Through the blood of Jesus I am justified, just as if I never sinned. Through the blood of Jesus I am sanctified, set apart to God. Through the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed out of the hand of the devil.

Jesus you said whoever calls upon the name of the Lord SHALL be delivered. I call upon you. Deliver me!

Now in the name of Jesus Christ I bind every evil spirit in or around my life. In the name of Jesus I command you to get out and leave me alone. Go in Jesus' name!

(Now co-operate with the Holy Spirit. It may help to breathe out. After expelling breath a few times, the enemy will begin to manifest and he will be forced to leave. Use your will to force him out in Jesus' name. Then praise God for the results and get filled with the Holy Spirit).

For More information on this subject, see my lesson on Deliverance from the Evil One. This is only an introduction to the subject but covers the main theological issues and lays a foundation for what needs to happen.

Prayer to Consecrate Yourself Completely to God

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you boldly in Jesus' name. Take me as I am. I now give myself – my heart, my mind, my body, my time, talents and treasure to you. Fill me and possess me. I renounce sins and self. Jesus, sanctify me. Cleanse me, purge me, purify me. Your will be done in my life, on earth as it is in heaven. Let me manifest a faithful spirit, a pure mind and a sickless body to your glory. Amen.

For more information on this, study my lesson on Sanctification and Holiness.

Prayer for Divine Healing and Health (Must be mixed with faith)

I thank you Jesus that you took my infirmities and bore my diseases and your wounds made provision for my healing. I receive You as my Healer, and I receive your healing touch now. Let there be no more sickness in my body than there is in heaven. I believe that You are the Lord who heals me. Thank You Lord for Your healing power at work in my life now. Sickness and disease, leave me now in Jesus' name. Amen.

    (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 6:10; Exodus 15:26; Mark 11:23,24; Philippians 4:6,7)

After praying this prayer, act your faith out as if God has heard you. But do not throw away your medications or cease treatments until the doctor tells you to. They will observe when you don't need them any more. Begin though now to talk as if God has sent the answer. Its part of your full salvation package in Jesus Christ.

Sometimes it helps to go to a place where Jesus Christ is honoured and preached and miracles are happening in His name. This can build your faith to receive from God. Write me if you desire that my wife and I offer special prayer for you.

Please pray for me, I am praying for an answer from God, regaurding moving away from my children and leaving them to live with their father.

I am trapped living with a man, out of wedlock, and he is an unbeliever, and keeps me wrapped in sin, and controlled by his money. Please God answer my prayer if I should move to florida with my sister to get myself back to God, so I can raise my children in faith.

    Thank you

    • warrior daughter says:

I do not think under any condition does God want you to leave your children…They will see this as abandonment even though they may be with their father….You are being manipulated to think that this is a good idea so you can get out of the snare that satan has set for you by living with a man…Your children are to be your first and foremost consideration….God is able to seperate you from this man but you must also be willing to do what God wants you to do….I would encourage you to start attending a church where you are at and take your children with you when you go to church…Reach out to God and His Bride for help and become strong in the Lord so you can make right decisions…Most churches do not condemn persons in your situation but love them just as they are as Christ loves you and the man you are with….Blessings

      • jackielynn says:

thank you for responding,I have gone to a church, but this man continues to keep me controlled for fear of losing me,I feel too weak to do this on my own. I have no job and no family here where i live. I did pray about this, and my sister called and said she was trying to get a bit of money together from my brother to help me get out.. drinking and drugs are involved with this man. Then I could get myself together and send for my kids…but I am going to a bible study group tues morning..
I have 4 kids living with me, two are old enough to try and get an apartment, two are 12 and 17.

I have been struggling with this same problem for 5 years. I cannot go through much more.

I pray for God to make me strong, but I am soooo weak from being manilpulated with drugs and alcohol, and money

God bless you for answering my call

I will pray with you, my brother. we will pray through it this we know that we are his children. we can Him abba and he has promised that whatever we ask in jesus’ name is ours.

  3. I am attending a church that has a lot of disunity. There are several members that are causing the disunity. They are trying to sway people from the faith by teaching about 1 Cor. 11:1-16 (veiling), demanding for women to wear veils during worship service. They argue about the bible being ambiguous and to go back the apostolic teachings. They are caught up the Council of Nicaea and trying to push the limits.

I would like some input on how to protect my heart and the hearts of others. Please, give me some Godly advise.

      Dear brother,

I would hold fast to Romans 14.

Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

Rom 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Rom 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Rom 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Rom 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

Rom 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

Rom 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

Quote these verses to those stirring up strife and point those who are troubled about the hair issue to their liberty to wear a veil and their obligation to allow you to follow the dictates of your heart. If they feel they must leave the fellowship, then release them with your blessing and count your church as freshly pruned and ready for new growth.

If they choose to remain, it ought to be with adherence to the guideline Paul lays out that they are not to put trivialities forward that only cause division and strife. If “they” are the church leaders, then it is time to consider looking for a healthy flock to fellowship in and bless them on your way out.

      I trust this will help.

Could you all pray for my family who is continually under attack? I have asked God to reveal the source or reason for these attacks, and I need to know why these continue! I have prayed against the Masonic spirits,(due to my father having been a Worshipful Master in the Masons) and gone through all the prayers re: the degrees, etc. But it seems endless when I go to see my Father (on earth) who has still not repented! I have prayed for protection, and for answers as to whether I am even supposed to continue seeing him or not. He is in a nursing home with Alzheimers, but is extremely alert when I visit him, even to the point of asking questions right out of the pit of hell!!!!Those things he asks about come under cursings immediately!!Sometimes he just mutters about bankruptcy and evil things when he is not quite awake if I call him. Its as if he is saying it re:my family and finances, etc. I have spoken to him about the Gospel, and asking God for forgiveness and he always tells me I am full of it, or laughs, or scoffs at me. Since he has done this numerous times, I would like to discontinue seeing him, as it ALWAYS proves harmful to my family. Please pray that I would hear definitively about this issue. He has willlingly given himself to this cult, and is determined to keep on with it. He is my father! How do I honor him? I feel comfortable praying for him, but not much else. He is very difficult to love. I don’t know where to draw the line!! Thanks for listening.

    • Yes, I pray you will know from the Lord. I would say pray, because the battle is spiritual. Just talking to him won’t change him, sounds like he is still full of pride. I would not go to him unless you believe God tells you to do so. You should only go in the timing of God.

In the meantime, I believe that if you give yourself to praising the Lord in your circumstance, as difficult as that would be, it would give you the upper edge spiritually to defeat satan’s attacks.

      God bless,

reminding me that it has to be a Spirit led thing! I do know that, but my brother is in charge of my father, and prompts me continually to go see him weekly,to the point of giving me money to take him to lunch! I then feel guilty carrying the money, and not seeing my dad.
You are exactly correct, and I guess I am going to have to tell my brother that if I spend money which he would like to reimburse me for, I will send him a receipt or something. That way, no nagging “Schedule” from my brother, and the Holy Spirit can communicate easier to me due to the ‘guilt’ being gone!
My mother I only went to see as the H.S. led, and she ended up repenting and coming to Jesus in the end of her life through miraculous circumstances led of God. Strangers going to see her, etc. It was beautiful. My father with his alzheimers and my brother’s controlling ways have drowned out the Holy Spirit in my life at times. AND PRAISE IS A GREAT SOLUTION. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU AND THIS WEBSITE!!! pearl of great price

He has stage 4 terminal lung cancer and we are in dire need of God’s healing hand upon him.

I have allowed myself to become carnally minded this past year and I am struggling to get back on track. I know dilligence will prevail, but my dad needs the touch of God soon.
