Pope Francis apparently teaches that Good Works without Faith will bring Salvation

I refer you to http://www.examiner.com/article/pope-francis-promises-redemption-for-good-atheists

If this articles is reporting accurately, then "Pope" Francis is teaching a damnable heresy. He is teaching "another gospel". This gospel says that faith in God is not required for salvation – good works of some kind is all that is required to make a man receive the benefit of the Blood of Christ.

People need to read the Bible and then people need to be willing to contradict spiritual leaders who teach error. But this takes courage and a lot of people don't have that kind of courage. But then again the Bible says the fearful and unbelieving … their part will be in the Lake of Fire (Rev 21:8).

But the cowardly, unbelieving,[a] abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Many follow Dale Carnegie more than Jesus Christ. The first chapter in "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Carnegie teaches people not to criticise under any circumstances – basically because everybody believes themselves to be a wonderful person and so it won't do any good anyway. Its good pragmatic advice if you want to get ahead in the world – even in the church world – but there are times when to remain silent in CRIMINAL.

I heard one televangelist, Kong Hee, preach every point from one chapter of Dale Carnegie's book. This Singaporean pastor apparently funded his wife's sexy Hollywood videos and lifestyle with millions of dollars of church money. But hey, his advice about winning friends seems to work well – none of the Pentecostal elite are criticising this pastor – in fact they are singing his praises. All this is just a racket. The "sheep" are getting fleeced and led off a cliff. And loving it.

Dear friends, the Bible teaches that "whatever is not of faith is sin". Our self-made righteousness of good works or whatever is as filthy rags to God. It stinks, because it is rooted in pride and rejects the very condition which makes a genuine relationship with the Lord possible – which is faith.

Make sure you listen to and believe God's Word on things if you want to please God, and be accepted by God into heaven. You won't make it if you don't have a living faith. "The just shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17).  "Without faith it is impossible to please God, and everyone who comes to God must believe that He is …" (Hebrews 11:6).

You will be cursed if you follow the pope on this one. Because the Pope is preaching another gospel, not the one Paul preached. And in Galatians 1 Paul says if anyone, even an angel from heaven, preaches a gospel other than the one he preached to them, "let him be cursed".

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. (Galatians 1:8-10)
