Our overseas brothers and sisters in the Christian family
Let us always include them in our thoughts, prayers, and fastings
By C. Marie, author of The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies

Hatred in others outside of the Christian family, who deeply despise Christians, lead them to obsessively seek to tamper with the peace, security, health, and lives of the children of God who resides in their individual countries. They are sanctified sheep in the midst of vicious wolves, in lands where favor goes towards the wolves.

(From The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies,) While we fellowship with the Holy Spirit and minister to others, let us regularly include our overseas brothers and sisters in the Christian family, in our powerful prayers, fastings, and merciful assistances too. Throughout time, including today, countless children of God around the globe have been, as well as presently being confronted with hateful harassments, oppressions, persecutions, abuses, and tortures from those who hate Jesus and God.

Ephesians 6:18, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Hebrews 13:3, “Remember them that are in bonds, as bounds with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”

St. Matthew 5:44, “…and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;…”

In regards to effective fasting on behalf of our overseas brothers and sisters in the Christian family:

Isaiah 58: 5-9, “: Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am…”

Exodus 14:13-14, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

2 Chronicles 20:3-4, 14-15, 17-18, and 30, “And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD. Then upon Jahaziel … came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.”
