Once Saved Always Saved is this what the Bible says?

Pastor Caspar McCloud The Upper Room Fellowship

Did you hear about the invisible man who marries the invisible woman.  The kids were nothing to look at either.Ok laugther is a good Medicine

We thank you Papa God for this day. We want to come now and enter into your courts with thanksgiving in our hearts and rejoice in your presence. We thank you for the awesome privilege of partnering with you and invite you Holy Spirit to come and take us over in this meeting and in this day. We give you all our praise and worship and we love you. We ask for your blessings to overtake us and chase us down.

We bind and break the power of every unclean spirit from interfering with us in any shape, form, or manner. So right now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I take authority over the devil that has been ruling your spirits, your souls, minds, and bodies.

I take authority over Satan and his entire invisible evil kingdom right now and I release your spirits to the love of God. I release your minds and bodies to the peace of God Almighty. For you are the apple of His eye and the object of His attention. He loves you with an ever lasting love. He proved His love for you because He sent Jesus Christ the Living Word to come and died the most horrible death possible just to save you. That is because He truly loves you and there is no greater love than a man who would willingly lay down his life for another.

We ask you Holy Spirit to come now and teach us more of your ways so we can better learn to put on the mindset of Christ this day; that we can do what you have called us together to do. That signs and wonders will confirm and follow us as we line up with you. We are so grateful for your mercy, grace, and love and we love you forever, Lord. Amen.

Once saved always saved?

I heard someone once say, “Beware of the intoxicating influence of popularity.” In the entertainment industry from which I grew up in it  basically thrives on influencing people into a popular opinion. Like Readers Digest once wrote me back after when I challenged their report on the Shroud of Turin being a fake back in the mid 90’s. I was really quite stunned by their response.  I shall have to paraphrase here, “They said sorry we must go with the popular opinion, not the facts. We have got to sell magazines and give people want they want”.

Popular interpretation is not necessarily the correct one and a popular interpretation does not give you a guarantee of accuracy.  For example in the 1940’s medical doctors were prescribing cigarettes to help people claim their nerves. You have to wonder what strange things we may see looking back some years from today’s treatments.

There seem so many popular sayings and traditions in today’s churches that are not based upon rightly dividing God’s Word. There is nothing new under the sun according to the Bible.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Over in 2 Timothy 4

 1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing

It was the same in the days that Jesus of Nazareth walked here upon the earth. The Pharisees and other religious orders had many unbiblical traditions, which they believed were correct. Because we see in the Scriptures when Jesus corrected them, they would often become very angry with him for telling them the truth. A self-righteous person is not teachable, and sadly there are churches that seem to have many people like that and some of them are in leadership.

Many people even today, seem to just refuse to be corrected on popular unbiblical traditions. Just look at all the churches who continue to do all the pagan practices like colouring eggs and celebrating Easter and Christ-mass. They have all sorts of excuses to justify continuing doing them.  The Passover we are suppose to be keeping  forever according to  Exodus 12:13  which is connected to the resurrection of our Lord  Jesus Christ of Nazareth was morphed into a  pagan/ heathen holiday of the fertility goddess of Spring which the Bible sternly warns us about. Just as the Bible warns about decorating a tree with silver and gold, the Bible tells us not to do that because we are not suppose to follow heathen practices. But sadly God’s people have been misinformed and perish from lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6

Many people just do not want to even consider that they could be wrong, in this church age, as so many pastors in their denominations have been awarded doctorates you think they would know better and teach the people a more excellent way.  So who are we to speak to them about any Biblical corrections we find and uncover; all we have is the Word of God and the faith that the Holy Spirit is teaching and guided us in all things.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I read somewhere statically more people die each year from the attending physician then from guns. I wonder if that ratio transfers over into people being lost from the attending theologian or professional pastor who has a doctorate in front his name. Believe me I respect anyone who endures all that academia has to offer to receive a degree. That is a really good thing. But it simply does not mean you always have the Gospel truth. Nor did the Lord assign you to the pastorate post.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

It seems nobody is too keen to admit that they could be wrong on anything.  How many people in leadership want to admit they might be wrong? So if they do not have an answer they just try and make one up rather then admit they do not know. Like when they lost the understanding of Passover and the power left their churches and no one was getting healed or restored and made free. They invented the theory, that healing and miracles past away when the last Apostle died. It was taught as doctrine, as the truth, only it contradicts the Scriptures and the Biblical evidence to the contrary.

When you really research all this stuff you find that Passover is a very supernatural event. Paul said in Colossians 2:16-17 that the Jewish feasts and celebrations were a shadow of the things to come through Jesus Christ. And though as Christians we may not commemorate these holidays in the traditional biblical sense as we should,  we are certainly discovering the significance of each, and as we do will certainly gain a greater knowledge of Papa God’s love and His Word,

So we can improved our understanding of the Holy Scriptures, and of who we are in Christ gaining a deeper relationship with the Lord. Passover is the most Christian feast in the world and as we discovered last week there was a demonic plot to hide it from the church the last 1000 years or so. In Leviticus 23;2  Papa God calls it “My Feasts.”  This an appointment  dinner we have with the Lord.  It’s a part of holy congregation rehearsals for a great day in the future just like weddings have rehearsals oh “ bride of Christ.

The first  century church was filled with Jewish believers, they were expecting Messiah to come. They were rehearsing the spring feasts understanding now that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was the fulfillment of the spring feasts.  Its definitely time we as a body of believers start rehearsing the feasts for the Second Coming.  There is something rather supernatural. About Passover. There is evidence, when the Israelis ate the whole lamb they were totally physically healed.  After Jesus was resurrected, then we look at the book of Acts and see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, people were having dreams, visions, miracles were happening.

The Old Testament gave us a shadow of things to come. As we learned the Blood of the Lamb, saved every first born child there  was protection from the spirit of death, and Israelites were brought out of slavery. They were given freedom from bondage. In Psalm 105, “ Papa God brought them out with silver and gold as they left the evil places of Egypt . So they also had great provision as they traveled. It says there clothes or shoes never wear out “There was none feeble among them.” That whole thing was so supernatural, especially when they thought they were trapped by the mountains and  red sea and the Egyptain army in hot pursuit after them. I tell you our Lord is going to make a way possible where no when seems possible. Then here Jesus becomes the Passover Lamb.

I think many of us sort of  miss quite a lot of understanding when we take Communion, because we don’t understand the full context of the Passover and what Jesus Christ of Nazareth did for us, everything that he provided for us. “By Jesus’ stripes we were healed, not just forgiven this is even deeper then just the forgiveness of sin.  At the cross He also provided for financial provision when Jesus sacrificed himself as the Passover lamb.

All those shadow in the Old Testament started seeing the reality that caused those shadows.

It all took on new meaning when He announced at the last Passover Sedar. This is my body take and eat. This is my blood of the New Covenant” take and drink. We serve a supernatural Lord and anything is possible with Him.

He has provided for us and so often we are just perishing from lack of knowledge because we do not bother to find out what He instructed us to do.

I have to explain to people quite often that maybe you need to go back to basics and read your Bible, a real Bible not a modern one and find out what the Lord actually said. The answers to every problem and situation is already worked out for us. The Lord anticipated what we would need even before we could ask.

Matthew 6: 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Don’t talk to Papa God about your problems, talk to your problems about Papa God.  The Lord see what you are going through and He provided the way and the answers to everything we will deal with.

The Bible clearly teaches us we do not have to beg the Lord for healing, restoration, or finances. He wants to bless you and heal you and restore you and supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Maybe it’s because of doctrines of men and devils that the churches have lost so much power and understanding, instead of following the doctrines of God.

Interestingly there is definite connection we have with Israel. Just as there’s a connection with the Old testament feasts.

As we learned as the early church lost its connection with Passover and everything Jewish that was part of the first century church. Keeping in mind Jesus was Jewish. Christianity began to just be another religion when they took the feasts out of the churches. That seem when healings and miracles faded away.  There was always a remnant  of God’s church and you find some amazing miracles throughout the centuries, but it faded from the popular churches.

But then, in 1948, when Israel became a nation it was at the same  time the healing revivals of  people like A. A. Allen, William Branham were happening. When ever things were good for Israel seems things got better for the churches. In the late 1800 and early 1900’s there was Alexander Dowie Azusa Street and John G Lake ministries happening. Just like we have seen when ever America makes a bad decision for Israel within 48 hours some calamity happens here.

God says He will bless those who bless Israel and He means what He says and says what He means.

But how many churches know to do that? How many instead have doctrines of men and devils and there churches have lost so much power and understanding, instead of following the doctrines of God.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

When we are dealing with such important matters as we do in ministry that have eternal consequences we can not really afford to be wrong.

Which means sometimes we may need to take a stand against popular traditions, which the Bible tells us we are to do if we find a wrong teaching, a wrong doctrine, if we are lead to help restore others and help bare the burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ that is.

I want to just explore a bit more today on the subject of salvation, because I am aware not everyone understands how important doctrine is, Doctrine means teaching people the truth. Not some ones opinion as it has become.

In these end times there is much we need to explore in the Scriptures as appose to what has been taught by traditions of men and other invisible beings who have crept into our churches and influenced people.

Is it really true in the Bible that once your saved and converted that you will always be saved and converted?
Has a false doctrine possibly crept in that is only giving people a false security? I believe the devil has done much damage in this area so you can hardly even talk about it today intelligently with someone.  We ought to be able to talk about anything in church
.

If a person has done some very sinful things and then gets saved but still suffers from those  tormenting memories of guilt and shame, seems the devil or his demons will accuse them of not  really being saved.

Maybe they just did not have a dramatic conversion? So they start questioning did it really happen and does it really count?

Which may bring a spirit of fear, and more torment and condemnation into a person’s life?

Why would you ever fear losing your salvation, if you know how much Papa God really loves you? That Jesus Christ of Nazareth took your place on that cross and paid the price for all your sins.

That no matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been if you confessed your sins He is faithful to forgive you and you are no longer guilty of them.

1st John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Our God is full of mercy, grace and love. Besides He first loved us before we loved Him and we are not saved by works but by grace. Amen.

But after we got saved and Papa God forgave our every sin, and washed us clean from all unrighteousness how many sins did we go on continuing in?

Are we now impacting the world for Christ or is the world still impacting us to sin?

That is a question we need to address. How many people calling themselves Christians are still living a worldly lifestyle? Getting more worldly ideas from the stuff they watch on television or the internet.

Or how many people saying they are Christians followers of Jesus Christ of Nazareth are holding onto a spirit of un-forgiveness in their hearts? Well if we can’t be honest we might as well just give up right now.

Salvation means more then just getting into Heaven. It means healing and restoration as well right now today is the day of Salvation, being filled with faith, love and hope. Our Lord loves us and wants the best for us.

So don’t turn me off or start entertaining any condemning spirits here.

As a pastor I am to help feed you with knowledge, the Lord’s adopted children have been perishing for lack of knowledge.

The world’s stage is being set up for the return of our Lord. This is a time to get really serious about your relationship with Papa God and forgive every one of those who ever wronged you including yourself.

As you know we are to love the Lord our God with our whole hearts mind body and souls, and to love every one else including ourselves.

Unless you think that is asking too much? But seeing how there is no other way to enter into Heaven, it is either obey and be blessed or disobey and suffer the consequences.

I am just going to suggest that those who need to hold tightly to the once-saved theory are those have been programmed by religion. Which appears to come rather close to being a dead work according to the Scriptures. Religion is mans way to try and reach God, Christianity is Papa God way to reach man.

Hebrew 9:13  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Because people in religious dead works often have a hard time understanding how much Papa God really loves them.  They have trouble connecting the mercy, grace and love parts.

Because they don’t feel worthy and they tell us all the time that they are just a sinning saint.

So in truth to feel secure, because they do not feel worthy they are attempting to be saved by works. Busy, busy, busy all the time you see them busying about. Looking religious for all to see they sure dress up nice on Sunday. I tell you they already have their reward.

Sounds like a religious stronghold to me.

People that can’t even discuss once-saved always saved theory without getting upset may have some, serious issues because they really do not have an intimate relationship with Papa God they just know about Him. They may just be pretending like a teenage girl talking on the telephone with a pretend boyfriend to impress her friends.

Let us just cut to the chase and deal with the nonsense of this once-saved always saved theology which is costing the body of Christ numerous numbers of souls every year. I don’t care what any denominations tell you what does the Bible say?

Let us instead tell the truth and comfort each other and those who are tormented constantly over fear of losing their salvation.

If you think that you’re going to lose your salvation every time you goof up, then you are not living under His mercy love and grace but under legalism in a religious system, and just do not really understand your relationship with Papa God

There may be millions of souls who ended up in hell because the church has not done its job in a long time educating the body of believers. Instead it has taken scriptures out of context to make it say what they think it should say.

We’ve been so busy out evangelizing the sinners, and then leaving them stranded, the people in our own congregations many may not find that narrow way the Bible talks about in Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The main problem as we know is simply a spirit of un-forgiveness operating.

The Bible is crystal clear that if we don’t forgive those who wrong us, then we are not going to receive forgiveness for our own sins, and the wages of sin is still death. Romans 6:23

Matthew 6:14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

1 John 3:14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity [love] shall cover the multitude of sins.
Love forgives. Love people even when they are unlovable.

Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Might I suggest that possibly because of lack of knowledge in this area of Salvation there may be millions of people who claim to be Christians, who attend churches and who are on a pathway to hell right now because there are unresolved issues of unforgiveness in their hearts even towards at least one person who has done them wrong somewhere in the world or in the world to come.

I am not here to judge you or someone else but I think its time we really get serious about our forgiving others whether we feel like it or not.

Now before someone decides to try and argue with me, I want to examine both sides of this debate.

There are several passages in the Bible which are commonly used to try and prove that we cannot lose our salvation. Let us be open here to look at some of the most common theories in this teaching, knowing that both sides will have to pass on to the other side to prove this. Still I am not one to take such a risk here to find out how far I can push the envelope of the Lord requirements.

Many people from certain denominations will tell me in John 10:28-29

“Nobody can pluck us from the Father’s hand”

But if we read this in context, as it is always best to read before and after to understand the Bible.

If you back up one more verse, you’ll find some missing information about this passage; in verse 27, we find that true sheep will follow Christ: John 10:15

25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

Sorry to ask you this but how many people sit in churches and say that part of the Bible is not for today or some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit have past away 2000 years ago? They seem to be missing this part.

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

30I and my Father are one.

31Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

If God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow Hebrew 13;8 then no one can remove us from our Father’s hand.

No one can take eternal life away from us.  Just as no one can force us to sin either, Joseph went to prison for doing good and running away from being seduced to sin with Potiphar wife whose hormones got the best of her.

We have choices to make moment by moment everyday to live holy or we can chose to fall into sin. Over the weeks we taught on John 15 We are told to abide (remain) in Jesus, if we love Him and when we do, we will produce much fruit. If we do not abide in Jesus, we will fail to bear fruit, then we can be removed from the vine who is (Jesus) and thrown into the fire to be burned. In this passage it sounds like this is referring to people who were once a branch in Jesus, and were removed because they did not abide in Jesus’ words.

John 15

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

“Nothing can separate us from the love of God” Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Again, this is speaking of outside influences invisible and visible and not about what we ourselves can do. While nobody else can separate us from Papa God’s love, are free to leave at any moment and enter into sin. We are free to leave the loving Father/ child  relationship that Papa God desires with us.

We can wander off with a spirit of self-pity or envy and jealously, or fear. Just as we can lie cheat and murder, with the tongue or literal murder.

Keep in mind John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Anybody ever find it is possible to not keep His commandments here, and fail to abide or rather remain in His love all the time? That you lost your sanctification for a moment somewhere?

Please hear my heart is all this, Papa God’s love for us is amazing grace. Which is a measure of time to get right with Him. But if we continue to entertain unholy thinking and our actions follow our thoughts like the bit in a horses mouth as you pull the reins his body turns where you point him. We can turn our backs on Papa God and end up dying in that state, well who wants to take that sort of risk?

” Jesus tell us we cannot die if we have eternal life” John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

In 1st John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Does this mean according to this passage, if we fail to love one another as Christ has loved us, we have no eternal life abiding in us? If you can’t say Amen say ouchy and you better get this issue settled straightway.

“The gifts of God are without repentance” (Romans 11:29)

Papa God isn’t going to offer you any thing and then change His mind and say sorry I made a mistake you don’t get to keep that. The offer to abide in Christ is available to everyone in the world, Jesus died while we were still sinner for us.

However that doesn’t mean that once we are born again in Christ, we will always abide in Him. This is a narrow way and if we do not use what we are given it appears it can be taken away from us

In the parable in Luke 19:26  For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

“We are born of incorruptible seed” 1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.)

The incorruptible seed is Christ Jesus, the Living Word John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

The key that unlocks all this mystery is simply we must remain or abide in Him, or it appears we be cast forth or removed from the vine:

John 15:2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

There is a very stern warning to believers who mess about with the Word of God.

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

It makes sense that you would have to be in the Book of Life, in order for Papa God to remove you out of the book of life and lose your place in the eternal holy city.

“We are sealed with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13-14)

What does being sealed with the Holy Spirit really mean? I am going to suggest that it really means we are now marked as God’s property. How many guys will actually ask the head cheerleader girl out who is going steady with the captain of the football team?

Just as most people know its best not to ask an engaged or married person to date them. Because a promise is suppose to be kept.

Papa God has many wonderful promises for us as well. He has made great plans for us even before the world was created. So we might think of a Christian is like a fruit tree that is planted and belongs to the Lord.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth has bought and purchased us for His father for an untold price and He has planted us in His garden. So really we are considered marked as Papa God’s own property we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are part of his adopted  family planted in his garden and  we are expected to bear much fruit, otherwise we might end up removed and burned in the fire.Which happens to plants and branches that are cut off and discarded.

John 15

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.  I think this harmonize with,

Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Yes I know many churches teach that once you are saved you are always saved, but as we have been seeking the truth in the Bible and being Berean about  it seems it has become rather clear that it is possible for someone to have their name in the Lamb’s book of life, and then blotted out.

So apparently, even though a person may be in the book of life at one point, it does not mean they will always have that eternal life… yes, it can be taken from them! Will that truth help you stay the course? Will that help you want to keep walking on the path of Holiness and sanctification?

Revelation 3:5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

According to this verse then, it appears rather clear that a person can be in the book of life, and then be blotted out of the book of life. Because you would have to first be in the book of life before you can be blotted out it.

I suppose it would be like you made a decision to go to college. If you finish and graduate your parents promise to give something you really want.

Like a new motorcar and they go ahead in faith and put your name on the title of that vehicle as Joan and I did for our son.

So there was a condition that unless you actually graduate that motorcar ownership title might be blotted out. So you will have to do your part in order to receive what you are believing for.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth paid the price so our name can be in the Lambs book of life after we get converted.

However we still have a part to play in all this. We must abide, remain in His love by keeping His commands, or we can be cut off and thrown into the fire and I am sure it is an eternal fire as we are eternal beings.

I believe that abiding in his love is what seals us by the Holy Spirit so nothing can pluck you out of the Father’s hand as long as you are remaining in Christ love you are surrounded by His protection. I like to think of it like my horse is protected in a fenced in area. If he gets out from under my protection he would be susceptible to the dangers and evil of this world. That is why if you have wandered away from the Lord is some area of your life you need to come back under His protection straightway.  Over in

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

This is the Lord speaking figuratively through the prophet Isaiah.

There are teachings out there that take this verse out of context to try and say there are no conditions attached to God’s love for you so the bottom line seems you can keep on living in sins and still enter Heaven.

However what good mother can ever forget the child she bore? Is she going to stop loving them if they grow up and do terrible things and end up in prison?

Papa God loves you more than an earthly parent and how it must grieve Him when we follow after the wrong kingdom.

This is the Lord speaking about never forgetting Zion.

There was also a custom in those days of pilgrims traveling to the holy city of Jerusalem to have representation of the holy city or the temple tattooed on their hands or arms to remind them on there way to the Holy City.

As getting there was not like it is today, someone might spend ages trying to reach the city, walking or going by donkey.

“It is not the will of God to lose any of his children” (John 6:39)

Its Papa God will for all to be saved just as it is that everyone be healed but apparently that isn’t going to happen. Because not everything that happens on this earth is the will of God. I thought when we moved to our horse farm I would get to ride my horse everyday.

Just because I desired that doesn’t always mean it happens.

Just because our Lord desires us to draw near to Him doesn’t mean we are always going to do that either.

“But we are saved apart from works, lest any man shall boast!” (Ephesians 2:9)

Again we are not saved by works, but by faith. However faith without works is dead. You still have to be a doer of the Word.

Ephesians 2:8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

This tells us that we were created by the Lord unto good works. Initially our salvation does not require works, no matter how good you are you are simply not going to earn your way into heaven.

However after we are truly saved and converted, our faith should begin to yield good fruit in our lives. The Bible tells us that if our faith does not yield these things, then it is a dead religion.

James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

We are not earning the forgiveness of our sins we simply can not pay that price Jesus already paid for us, for the wages of sin is death. You can do as many good works as you possibly can and still not be able to pay the price for your sins.

The price we have to pay is remaining true to Christ. You will know a true believer by their good fruits.

Please do not misunderstand me none of us are living a perfect sinless life, if we say we are we are lying. But we need to at lest have a perfect hatred for sin in our life.

It is just not unacceptable in the Kingdom of God for a person who claims to be a true believer to still be running after the things of this world.

Living a worldly lifestyle even though they claim they were converted years ago.

What happened to being transformed more and more each day into the image and likeness of our Lord?

We are a work in progress, just like it takes a session for plants and trees to bare fruit. Seed time and harvest.

In the kingdom of God, we are expected to bare good fruit. Mercy, grace and love, not the fruit of accusations fear and criticism.

In Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Like in Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

John 15

1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
